Discontinued product with bad support
This board (V1.1) seems to be an already discontinued item although the seller never disclosed this information in the product description. For an active selling board, buyer would assume the manufacturer would provide board specific Ubuntu and Debian Linux images for it. I was totally surprised that none of the images on their official website are actually bootable. Either the u-boot or DTB or both on these official images are not for this board! Contacted support multiple times without meaningful help. The last response was asking me to re-flash the SPI. In this case, SPI works just fine to correctly booting from a microSD card while the boot stops at BusyBox prompt which means the problem is with the image likely having the wrong DTB. Support never responded any further. I was simply asking for older images for this board assuming working images were available in the past before the new version of this board came out (V2.1). But the seller never replied to the direct request. I found an Armbian image which allows selection of DTB for V1.1 board and it works immediately. The only problem I have is that the Armbian image is for the recent version of Linux (24.04 and 6.1 Linux kernel) while I need 22.04 with 5.1 Linux kernel. The official site has the image version I need but the image doesn’t work with V1.1 board. So now I have 24.04 running on this board but I can’t get my app using fbi or fim as newer version like 24.04 has restricted the use cases for fbi and fim. In my opinion, this is a deceptive selling practice.

it is a great rpi 3 replacement. it is fast , and has a lot of storage.. I am having a "problem" it alwasys says its cpu is 25 % busy.. and it is not the case.. so performance is allright but the monitoring is always wrong.

DOA - Booted once during troubleshooting.
UPDATE - spoke with the seller and have shipped my DOA device back (US address) and replacement expected at the end of the month. Updating to 2 stars. I have several other OrangePi devices (zero, zero2, zero3, 3 LTS, 5) as well as several RaspberryPis and a LibreComputer Renegade. It's not user error. Tried all of the distros from OrangePi's web site and Armbian.

Great product, powerful system... royal pain in the rear
Gotta say, the hardware, setup etc... on this blows the raspberry pi out of the water... but... also the biggest flaw is, it's amazing how much software is written for arm, is raspberry pi exclusive, steam link etc... Be ready to fiddle with a lot of things to get things set up. In the end, I'm pretty satisfied, but gotta say I was kind of shocked how many times I would hit something go "oh I want to do that... oh, only made for raspberry pi and trying to make it work on an orange is a huge nightmare.
