Finally stopped our two (medium & large) dogs from helping themselves to cat 'treats' from the tray! Our last tray was hooded with a flap door, & they'd just push their heads through & munch away, dragging it out & across the floor, which was just lovely to come down to on a morning! The dogs would then be ill & we'd have a lovely mess to clear up!We weren't sure how or if our cats would take to it, but after showing one how to use it, the other two cats followed suit. We left their old hooded tray down for a few days, until they started using the new one, & they ended up preferring the new one, anyway, after a day or two. The old one wasn't getting used.We have a v placid cat who doesn't freak-out easily, so we lifted the lid & popped him inside, & replaced the lid, so he just exited on his own. That meant he got the knack of it & the other two cats (who I wouldn't have done that with, as it may have put them off using it) watched & followed.It's meant for outdoors, but works fine for us indoors. Just wish it had a handle on top, as it's large/wide to pick up & carry without one. That's the only reason I've marked it down.Overall, we're extremely happy with it, as we searched & searched for one that would get around the dog problem, & this was the only one that would work for us! The dogs would just stick their heads down the top-entry ones, & tip them over! I can't believe no one else has produced one like this! I guess it may not work if you have very small dogs. Other than that, we're really pleased with it. Delivered very quickly.I don't think the person who said the side-clips didn't work, had managed to click them into place properly. It can take a little getting used to, but we've had no problems, despite the initial attempts of the dogs to get into the tray during the night!

The material is a good thick plastic, and the overall weatherproofing works pretty well as the litter hasn't gotten wet even in stormy conditions. In this respect it does the job it was intended for. The downsides are that you'll want to put a couple of bricks on top or similar to stop the top blowing off. Also, the design of the bottom piece means there are grooves etc. that make cleaning all the more awkward. A simple flat bottom would have been way superior.

I wanted a litter tray which could be outdoors and protected from the elements. I'm surprised they're not all designed like this as it's perfect and keeps rain out. Our cat was keen to use from the word go so very pleased with product, would highly recommend

Needed a solution to my Staffie eating my Cats mess! My cat took to it straight away! This litter tray was perfect for the job as he can no longer get in there! Previous reviews said that it didn't click together properly but I had no trouble with it! Well worth the money just to solve the problem!

Good idea and works well outdoors (i.e. no leaks), easy to remove lid and clean as required... unfortunately my cat never mastered the entry hole and so didn't use it.

Cats took to this litter tray immediately. Its quite sturdy and sits well in the corner of my balcony. It affords good protection from the elements for the cats. So glad of an outdoor tray. No smells and no mess in the flat!

Clicks on and off easily (anyone who says otherwise isn't doing it properly)!Honestly the only way I could stop my labrador from chowing down on kitty chocolate.100% saved my sanity!

Outside cat litter box. Nice not but too light for outside. A gust of wind would blow it over. Ok for inside use. Nothing to secure the lid on . Small clips didn’t hold it on.
