I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I have a pink skinned, white appaloosa mare who has issues with her face, nose, shoulders and rump burning constantly. When I first purchased her she was so sunburnt that her poof face was nothing but a miserable peeling, cracked, torn up mess. She was absolutely miserable, didn't want to be touched or messed with because she was so painful to the touch. I purchased this in an effort to try and help. Not only did this prevent further sun damage, it healed all the damage that was done prior. Within about 3 days I was seeing a huge difference in her skin and the peeling and cracks were healing up. In a week, everything was fully healed, no sign of sun damage on her muzzle or body and she was sunburn free. Not only does this prevent sunburn but it heals up prior damage too! I use this religiously on my mare, every single day to keep her safe from damage, I even use it in the winter to keep sun from burning her when it reflects off snow. Ever since I've started using this I've never had any issues with sunburn and her skin is so soft. It not only protects her skin, but also soothes and rejuvenates it too. I've recommended this product to multiple owners who have bald faced horses and pink skinned horses. After seeing the difference it made for my girl, they want it too! If I could give this 200 stars I would. This saved my horse, and I can't thank this company enough for helping my girl.

After years of trial and error with various sunscreens, THIS is hands down the best one on the market. The liquid sunscreens have never lasted long enough for turn out and the powder ones dried out the skin. This stuff is the perfect middle ground. It stays on all day, even during your random rainstorm. In fact my only complaint is how glue like it can be if caked on too much. You will have to occasionally wipe your horse’s face to get the build up off. However unlike other cakey sunscreens, this stuff doesn’t take hair and skin with it when removed. This is our second summer using it and my horse has not burnt once since the first application. It even healed the existing cracked and painful sunburn the last product we used left. Our boarding facility loves the super easy application of the stick and so does our horse. He no longer puts up a terrible fight to get his sunscreen on! The Pure Sole SunBlock has been amazing and I’m very excited to branch out to their other products after the wonderful performance of this stuff. Worth every penny for what it’s done for our horses. You will not find anything better.

Product is great, I have been applying my horse’s pink nose daily this summer and it has kept sunburn to a minimum even only using this once daily. Most recent purchase was poorly packaged - in a soft bag - so the lid broke but thankfully the seal didn’t so the product didn’t leak all over.

Sunscreen works great. My horse Likes the smell. Works very well. Stays on 24 hrs until the next day. I would highly recommend. Only reason it’s not 5 stars because it is kind of hard to apply it gets all over your hands.

This sunscreen may work for others and I would love to give it a 5 star review; however, my horse had an allergic reaction to the product. He rubbed his face and the sunscreen subsequently travelled up his fly mask and into his eyes. Although I was careful not get it anywhere near his eyes, he managed that on his own. The first jar arrived broken, as it was not protected in shipping, and Amazon sent me a replacement. Now I have two jars of sunscreen that I can't use. I do have to say, it was not gritty at all, as some reviews stated. The smell was neutral. If my horse had not had a reaction I would give this product 5 stars. Based on my personal experience, I would give it 1 star.

This product is easy to apply since it is a solid stick but glides on. Since it is a white cream, you can see where you are applying it. My horse seems to like the smell of it because he always wants to lick it while I am applying it to his muzzle area. He has pink skin around his mouth where the hair is very sparse and is subject to getting sunburned there. It seems to work as I haven't noticed sores around nose and mouth since I have been applying it.

It’s not greasy and runny like regular zinc oxide ointment. It stays put on the pink skin around and under his tail that burns easily. I like this product. However, now that it’s cold outside the stuff is hard as a rock and not usable. That’s Calif. cold. Like 60 F. Hope it softens up in the spring.

This stuff is AMAZING! I have a 3 yr old cremello QH filly with blue eyes, pink nose & skin. I was using another product but she did not like it so applying was difficult since she is almost 16hh. She has no problem with me applying this to her delicate pink nose. Please don’t change this product because I will continue to use it her entire life.
