PayDay Peanut Caramel Candy Bar, Snack Size, 11.6 Ounce Bag (Pack of 6)

Bought these for my Dad, who is 91 and in a veterans home. When I started to buy the 6-pkg bundle, they were a little over $12. Then they went up to over $17, and NOW they're over $20, and I'm no longer able to buy these for my Dad, sometimes twice a month. He loves PayDay candy, and shares them with nurses and fellow residents at the home, to give them a little treat. I hate that I can't do this one little thing for him anymore. Why did these go from $12 to $20 in less than 7 weeks?!?!?

This is definitely the best candy bar for those who are allergic to chocolate and not allergic to peanuts. I don't know why bags of PayDay bars are so hard to find in grocery stores.Thing that makes it difficult to order in bulk are:1) you never know if the bars are about to go stale (rare but has happened)2) there are many different sizes of bars and bags with different quantities, so calculating price per ounce is tricky3) lots of the sellers charge shippingNevertheless I frequently order multiple bugs from Amazon, and I enjoy eating the bars. Also I feel they are less unhealthy than a typical granola bar, which often has excessive carbs.

It’s hard for me to get out of the house, so I tried buying candy online. I like Payday’s because of the peanuts. The expiration for SIX packs of Paydays was May 2014. I agree that the candy was not spoiled, but it was not fresh! The peanuts were soft in texture after this much time. I didn't expected them to be crisp or crunchy, but I don't know if they're worth eating. Why waste the calories on something you don't enjoy? Selling this quantity of candy with an expiration date so close is pretty shabby. I had this item in my Wish List for a couple of months and the price drop was about 30%. I think I'll use that as an indication that the item will be close to the expiration date. Being able to see product expiration dates in a real store is a definite benefit for consumers. I wish Amazon would provide this information.

I don't think I have eaten these in 15+ years? Purchased them at a low price, and they are just like I remember them - take some peanuts and squash them up with a sort of caramel substance, press it all into a log shape, and there you go - that's it - no frills. The caramel glue leaves something to be desired. It's edible, you'll eat it over tossing them out, but it's just OK. You never hear about this candy so someone must be eating them it they are still making them... You can take your money and use it elsewhere.

When my wife commented how she had always enjoyed Payday candy bars as a child, I thought to "pick some up" at the local supermarket. Imagine my surprise when I found NO payday candybars at any grocery, Dollar store, Drug store, or gas stations. On line, I found Payday was now part of Hershey Chocolate, yet I found no way to order on line from them. At this point I fell back on my 'default' solution and checked Amazon.com. I found our beloved Paydays available in several sizes,varieties even in yet to be released CHOCOLATE. I immediately ordered the snack size in amounts to last for months. My package arrived promptly and we are enjoying the freshest, tastiest Paydays ever!

My wife absolutely loves these little snack bars. Their yummy plus easy to keep stored since they are in a separate bag then the bars are individually wrapped. This order comes with 6 packages with 15 bars in each bag. She freezes them and on occasion pops one in her mouth for a snack. The problem is that they are almost impossible to find in the off season. They are usually only available during the Halloween season. So when I found them available at Amazon during my wives birthday in February I was tickled pink. It was a great surprise for her and a tasty one at that! Once again...Thanks Amazon for making a difficult time easier!!

Oh, I love this candy since I no longer can eat chocolate. However, it was quite expensive in the description. I received 6 bags of snack sized pieces so it was cheaper. Of course, it was tasty and addictive. I have bags away to refrain from eating them all. Great snack.

Very good candy bar. There are six 11.6 oz bags of these snack size bars (7 oz) in one larger shipping bag. The expiration on all bags is 08/2018. I bought these before from Amazon and was very happy with the purchase.
