Small footprint and simple installation. But when sitting on it, it sways side to side easily. Normal use would cause it to sway 2-3". It feels the welding will break with this excessive movement. I might try to make some mods to stablize it.

I ordered two bamboo shoe shelf/benches from different places and both were moldy so I was ready to give up when I found this. It's affordable, nice too look at, sturdy to sit on, and holds enough shoes for us and guests. I'm so glad I found this and wish I'd ordered it before the others! The instructions weren't great and assembly required some patience, but wasn't difficult

We have oak stairs, so we bought this bench for our entry way to match. It looks very nice and doesn't make a "statement" (very light minimalistic look). Not too sturdy, so you might be able to sit on it if you are under 150 lb, but I would still not recommend it. However, it's great for putting your bags on. The bench holds multiple pairs of shoes.

I was honestly surprised by how sturdy it is because of the assembly pieces, but overall it's a really great product! Looks great in my living room and sometimes it just nice to sit on something while you put on your shoes.
