ASICS Men's Trabuco Max 2 Running Shoes

These eat up the trails. Had little issue traversing through sand, gravel and mud. ASICS really did a great job creating the sole for this shoe. It’s a somewhat wide toe box allowing for pretty good comfort. It’s definitely on the heavier side for a trail runner but it makes up for it with the added protection you’ll receive from rocks and roots. The appearance is thicker than most running shoes but that’s expected from a trail runner. It’s a very stable shoes despite the high rise. The max cushion comes in handy, I was able to take these on a 6 mile run through Boston and had no fatigue or pain. I have a bad knee and had no issue when wearing these. Like I said I wore these in Boston on pavement, it’s a very versatile shoe if that’s what you need. I wouldn’t make it your primary runner for roads as there’s the possibly of wearing down the studs faster. All in all though these max 2s are great. Pick them up while they last!

Plenty of cushion! Thanks to everyone who recommended going up a half size, they fit perfectly with a nice wide (but not too wide) toe box. This is the first pair of shoes I have bought online because I couldn't find them locally. I looked through the reviews and made the right choice. The soles are amazing and really show their superior grip on wet surfaces. They roll you forward with each stride . It's the first pair of real trail running shoes I have bought and am quite happy with them.

I am a huge fan of HOKA shoes and have been wearing them for years. So I am very surprised at the comfort and pressure relieving capacity that these new Asics have! I've worn them for 3 work shifts and they padded my feet very well. I am impressed. I'd say they are true to size, but a bit narrow.

The most impact softening running shoe I’ve ever owned. Great spring as well. It doesn’t have a knit upper, or a carbon plate like the Alphafly’s so it’s not the lightest shoe. The stack is too high for a marathon, but if you’re a runner who wants a comfortable shoe for long runs, and cushion that will last 100’s of miles, then this one is for you!

Quality shoe!!

I bought these shoes for trail hiking along several national parks on an extensive road trip. The traction of the shoe is next level. You can even feel it grip the concrete. It was roomier than I liked but I didn't have the luxury of trying a half step down. I didn't get a chance to run on them, but doing more than a half hour of trail hiking seem to cause pain points on the bottom of my feet. Overall this was a good buy but I'll look to eliminate any hot spots and a better fit in my next round of shopping.

Very comfortable, wide toebox. Straight out of the box they felt perfect. On my first trail run, I did have to stop to tighten the laces but I am still experimenting with them. An improvement on Trabuco Max 1 and honestly the most underrated trail shoe of the year.
