I have a number of traditional Japanese pull saws, each with its own purpose. I wanted a saw that I could use for more difficult tasks, such as plywood cutting and small logs and timbers. This bad boy did not disappoint. It's blade is thicker than my other high grade saws, so it takes whatever is dished out, be it lack of skill by someone new to this style of saw or coarse woods. I like the angled handle, and the snap-on blade cover (why didn't someone think of this earlier.) TPI is fine enough that it doesn't make a mess of what it is cutting but aggressive enough for fast speed of cut. I'm very impressed...I expected less.

Cuts fast. A little tough to start the cut but only because the teeth are very aggressive.The weight feels good in your hand. It's well made and the sheath covers the full blade well. The latch for the sheath could have been done differently but I haven't had problems with it. I would buy it again.

This is exactly like the original blade from Japan, but there is a feeling that the original blade is slightly better (it might just be in my head), but still, a very good blade at a very good price!

My boyfriend said this is what he wanted for Christmas. I personally have not used it. He seems to like it (he used it to help build our kitchen table)

Amazing saw! I always like to have a Manuel saw on hand that way I can rough cut materials without the need for power. I also like the compact size it fits right in my tool box and has a great cover to protect the blade.

Great saw, blades last well if used as intended, and are easy to replace. Well worth the price.

We mainly use it for trimming trees in the back yard and it is fabulous !!
