The cotton side ia the texture of an unruly cotton ball. Bought these to use the cotton side with my eye drops-caused fibers to enter my eye. I can only half recommend.

These cotton rounds have soft bumps on one side and are smooth on the other. They're thick enough to hold together as I lightly scrub my face. My face does look brighter since I've been using these! I didn't even know they existed until a friend turned me on to them. If you want to gently exfoliate, try these, you'll love them!

the pads are great to use with a liquid exfoliator using the textured side , and a toner using the soft side. Will purchase again.
