Poe Extender, 1 in 4 Out PoE+ Repeater, 10/100Mbps, Extends 250m, 60W Comply with IEEE802.3af/at for PoE Switch/Injector and Security POE Camera Over Cat5/6 Cable

The "Poe Extender, 1 in 4 Out PoE+ Repeater, 10/100Mbps, Extends 250m, 60W " works great for my POE cameras and Wifi access points. As each only requires less than 100 meg of band width this performs properly without any slowing of network traffic. One thing to note is that as the current draw of access points and the cameras required more amps than the single port on the POE switch that was supplying power to this device I had to use the supplied Y cable, Using the 2 male RG45 connectors It plugs into - 2 separate ports on the main switch. The second plug on the Y is just supplying additional amperage to the 5 port extender, and it works perfectly. ( I wasn't able to get the 4th port on the extender to power 1 of the access points... and then I remembered there was a Y cable in the box. Once I connected it is I described the 4th power then powered the access point). So I am satisfied with the device and it allowed my cameras and access points to be placed over 130 feet away from the house where there is no way to AC power outlets. Hope this helps others understand what the Y cable is for too.

This thing works like a charm. I have 3 PTZ and an Axcess point utilizing all 4 ports. Inexpensive little gadget and it doesn't break the bank. And only had to run 1 cat6 line.

I believe the listing fails to mention that this device comes with an adapter that takes 1 network port and converts it in to two, which means 2 PoE ports from a switch are required for all 4 output ports to work.Based on the info on the listing, I thought 1 Port from my network switch would lead to 4 PoE ports here, with a total of 30 watts - that is not the case. However, 2 ports from my network switch, using the provided adapter, allow all 4 output ports to function.

I only needed this for 3 cameras and got it for a back up of my other POE extender in case it gets demaged like the one that apparently was not snapped in all the way and fell out during a thunderstorm and got soaked.I am sure this one is for outdoor as it has the same design. This one was $4 cheaper but only 10/100. Maybe that is the problem. I have a 25x PTZ and 2 mini cams in owl boxes. It would run on owl box and the PTZ but not all three.Boxed it up and shipping it back. I also have a powered Extender feeding this one. So it should have plenty of power. I will spend the extra 4 bucks and get the other one.

This item wound up replacing a more expensive device, after a lightning strike. Works great. Small and sturdy. Great value for the cost.

Used this product to install pole mounted Poe cameras. Worked like a charm.

I have several POE+ Mikrotik routers and this does not work with them. It will power up with the POE but will not connect on ethernet. I have tried forcing 10/100 full/half duplex with no success. I have other brands like this POE splitter, and they are fine. I thought maybe it was defective until I plugged it into a spare Netgear POE switch I have. Works just fine there. Unfortunately, past the 30 day return policy.
