Sorry about that! - Those hearts are discontinued - so we just made it that price until it can be removed from Amazon.

Q: What kind of wood are these made of?

I believe they're beech, but I'm not 100%. They are definitely a genuine solid wood though, and not MDF, or the lightweight kind you get with burnt, lasered edges. Hope that helps.
