These are so helpful
While my sump pump in my basement has been only working when it wants to, I have been having to check on it multiple times a day to see if I have to manually set it off so my pump pit doesn't over flow.I bought this to alert me when my pump pit starts to over flow so I don't have to waste my time checking on it every hour. It definitely works and is really loud. So its a nice, cheap alternative until I replace my sump pump.

Very loud
I purchased these due to getting water in my basement lately with all the heavy rainstorms recently. Because they are in the basement I needed something fairly loud and these are loud enough. Also have a very quick response. I am quite happy with them and would suggest them.

Recommended by my plumber
Our hot water heater is in our attic so if it bursts, we will have a huge mess and a big bill. With that in mind, our plumber recommended this device to alert us to the leak that generally comes before a ruptured heater. This little guy goes in the pan beneath the hot water heater and if water comes into contact with it, it emits a very loud noise. Three batteries were included and I can attest that the sound is very loud. I think this was a smart purchase.

Works and Affordable
We have had a couple of water issues in our basement and so purchased these to put one near the water heater and one near the water softener. I sleep much better knowing I'll hear them chirping and can avoid disaster.

One of the five detectors was defective.
I found one of the five detetors I ordered defective. When I inserted the three AAA batteries that were supplied with the dectector, the alarm sounded continuouly, even when the sensors on the unit were not wet. I tried using three other batteries with the same result. I tried contacting the company using the support email address supplied with the detectors, ([email protected]) and the email was undeliverable. Very disappointed.
