We have a door that hides the connection from our house to the main sewer line. As you might expect, it looks icky in there. I definitely don't want any bugs coming out of there into my house. Unfortunately there is a large gap between the bottom of the door and the floor where this becomes possible.This product seems like it will do the trick. It's long enough so that you can cut it to fit your door. My door's a regular size and width wasn't a problem. Then, you just peel it off, stick it to your door, and set and forget.My primary concern is is that this thing comes coiled up. The adhesive is strong, but ultimately it will be a battle between the plastic's desire to re-coil and the adhesive holding it to the door. I imagine the strength of the adhesive will also depend on the material you are adhering it to.If you're installing this on a door that you need to constantly open and close, I may also worry about what that may do to the adhesive as well. As you probably know, bugs like roaches and house centipedes can fit through the tiniest of cracks. You really want this thing to completely eliminate any gaps. That does mean that opening and closing it often will put stress on the adhesive. Not a problem for me, as I hope to never need to open that door. But something to consider.

Easy to install, great value, lasts, adheres well, can trim to any size with scissors. Blends right in with my white doors. Use it in my powder room to block the gap underneath for privacy. Perfect look and fit.

I am a housewife who has zero knowledge about installing things but this was self explanatory, easy, fast and I had no issues at all putting this on my door. Honestly, a child could probably do it. This was as easy as simply cutting the rubber strip down to size to fit the length of the bottom of my door and peeling back the red adhesive protectant strip and then pressing firmly to the door. This comes with little wall tacks you can use to keep the strip on the door if you have issues with the adhesive not holding it firmly onto the door but I didn't find it necessary to use them. This strip has been holding up just fine without them. Its nice that they are included, however. They are small and white so they blend in and are not very noticeable. As you can see in my picture, there was a pretty distinguishable gap underneath my door before applying this strip to it. I have noticed a drastic decrease of airflow coming into the room where this is located and the room feels much more insulated and has been retaining heat better. I will probably order another one in the not so distant future for another door I am having issues with as well.

So I thought this strip might help with both the draft and the noise.This is so easy to install that I pretty much had it up in minutes after opening the box. Instructions are easy as clean the door (I used an alcohol prep pad), remove backing and attach. Instructions say to heat the adhesive with hairdryer first to get a really good seal but I didn't do that but it still stays on pretty well.Overall it does help with the draft quite a bit but with the noise only somewhat (which is to be expected as our kids can be quite loud).

This Door Draft Blocker is packaged in a rolled-up form. When I removed it from the box that it came in, it stayed curled up.So, I stretched it out until it was flat, then place books on it and left it in this fashion for a number of days until it stayed flat once I removed the books.I like how firm, yet flexible this door draft blocker is. I did not have problems cutting it to the length that I wanted with a pair of scissors. Then, I placed it along the door, pressing the draft blocker firmly against the door as I lifted the paper backing off the seal.note: I positioned this draft blocker so that it just barely grazes the floor as I opened and closed the door.Since we added the draft blocker, and opened & closed the door a number of times, no part of the blocker has peeled away from the door. The seal is strong.The paper insert included with this product has good illustrations and details on how to properly apply the blocker.4 push pins are included. Because the seal holds the draft blocker well on the door, I have decided not to use the push pins, for now.Overall, this door draft blocker is easy to use and sticks well to the door. On windy days, we did not feel as much wind passing into our room under the door, thanks to the blocker.
