Yes I had the same problem I think the cable fitted is too heavy for transportation of charge. I just don't use it.

Hi I’ve taken it on a plane and it fitted under the seat. But I think it depends on how much you put in it.

Q: would this accept velcro camera dividers so i could use as a camera bag as well

The size should be fine for a lot of camera equipment but it's not rigid like a traditional camera bag and there's not velcro straps in place to attach other velcro straps and so I'm not sure it would be suitable to properly protect your equipment or keep your velcro padding in place. That said, if you have fabric adhesives you could probably create attachment points. There's so many potential variables involved there can't be certainty. Perhaps just put a small camera bag inside this one. Perhaps someone else will have better advice.
