Incredible Sound, Ultra Portable, and Packed with Smart Features
Here’s a strong, natural-sounding set that feels like it came from a real buyer who actually used it: Title: Incredible Sound, Ultra Portable, and Packed with Smart Features One-Sentence Review: The Enya NEXG 2 sounds amazing, travels easily, and the built-in smart audio features make it unlike any guitar I’ve ever owned. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazon Review I bought the Enya NEXG 2 looking for a travel guitar, but it ended up becoming one of my favorite guitars overall. First off, the carbon fiber build is a game changer. It feels solid, lightweight, and completely unaffected by temperature or humidity. I’ve taken it in the car, outdoors, and on trips without worrying about warping or tuning issues. The sound is shockingly good for its size. It’s clear, full, and projects well whether I’m playing unplugged or using the built-in speaker system. Plugged in, it sounds even better. Clean tones, great effects, and plenty of volume. The smart audio features are what really set it apart. Built-in amp, effects, backing tracks, Bluetooth, and even recording. I can practice with tracks, jam along to music, or just play straight acoustic style. It’s incredibly convenient and fun. Battery life has been solid too. I get several long sessions before needing to recharge. If you travel, live in an apartment, or just want a modern guitar that does way more than a traditional acoustic, this thing is absolutely worth it. Innovative, great sounding, and built like a tank. I’m seriously impressed.

Excellent guitar at a decent price
I’ve been playing guitar for 35 years and just got back to playing after a multi year hiatus. I wanted something that played well, and was less traditional looking. They certainly delivered. This guitar is well crafted and definitely looks really cool. The sounds is full, perhaps a little less full than a traditional center hole wood guitar. There are a few small cons but not enough to deter me from highly recommending this instrument. First, that action is high. Too high. I read another review that said it can be lowered. It can, there are 2 hex nuts that can be reached through the sound hole. Bring your patience, but it can be done. I loosened the 2 hex nuts with an Allen key. Once loosened about 5-6 full turns, use a wood shim or a a pack of guitar string and wedge it under the neck and you’ll hear a little popping but nothing to worry about. The neck goes up and then tighten the hex nuts back up. Once you do that, it plays much better. Chord changes are easier and solo playing becomes fluid. I found no buzzing after raising the neck. The other con is the back and sides are a matte black and I prefer it glossy. It seems a little plastic like but it’s a carbon composite. I toyed with wrapping the back in matte carbon or a gloss black but now I’m used to the whole look as is and it’s grown on me. The last con is the eq. It’s not very amplified and I find myself turning it of off quickly after I turn it on. The dials on the eq have a tiny indicator that’s impossible to see and should be marked so you know where they are low to high. Every guitar has pros and cons- I think my biggest con being the action was easily fixed or I would have returned it. Now that the action is where I want it, I’m playing this guitar constantly and really love it. This is a quality instrument at a very reasonable price. Enya does make a full glossy carbon edition but it’s hard to find and will run you double the cost. I’m very happy with my purchase and you will be too!

Great value for the price.
I bought this on an impulse after hearing a demo clip on the Enya website. I kicked myself afterward, but thought it would make a nice gift for a guitar playing friend. I watched several YouTube reviews, which were generally enthusiastic. When it arrived, I was fairly impressed by what I found. The case, while not top quality, seems nice. The guitar is heavy. If you like light guitars, this isn't for you. It looks funny. If you like the look of fine woods , this isn't for you. The sound. Well, that is a very individual thing. It doesn't seem to have the overtones and harmonic richness of a good quality wooden guitar. It doesn't sound bad, though. It has some built in effects. I seriously doubt that I will ever use anything but reverb, and not a lot of that. You can use the effects unplugged. They don't seem to do a lot that way, but you can use them. I let my guitar playing son play it, and he was impressed to say the least. The reviews pretty much said that it arrives in need of setup. The factory setup on mine wasn't bad. A lot of people will play it just as it comes. I lowered the action a little at the nut, and took some off the saddle. I also tightened the truss rod just a little. I have since read that it is easy to loosen the neck bolts and just raise the neck to adjust the action. I ordered a spare saddle, and might try raising the neck instead of taking down the saddle, since lowering the saddle usually lowers volume as well. I have been a fan of Elixir strings, but one of the YouTube reviewers said he didn't like the sound they made and replaced them with some Martin Retro strings. He thought they sounded better. I have ordered some and will give them a try. I haven't yet tried it plugged in. From the various reviews I have seen, I think it will do OK plugged in. The fretwork looks pretty good. I have seen some pretty high dollar guitars with much worse fretwork. In general, I think this is a really good value in a guitar. Being carbon fiber, it won't require the level of care a wooden guitar would. I didn't give it 5 stars because I reserve that rating for the very best. I think this might be a really good beginner guitar. It can take humidity changes better than a wooden guitar, and probably a good deal of physical abuse as well. It is well made, so the beginner won't quickly outgrow it, and they likely wouldn't outgrow the sound either. If the fact that it is a Chinese made carbon fiber doesn't bother you, I don't think you could go wrong in buying one. Do have a setup done right off the bat, though.

All-in-one smart guitar that truly delivers
The Enya NEXG 2 is an impressive all-in-one instrument. The carbon fiber construction makes it extremely durable, lightweight, and resistant to temperature and humidity changes, which is perfect for travel and daily use. The built-in speaker is powerful and clear, easily loud enough for practice, small gatherings, or casual playing without any external amp. The wireless system, effects, and smart features work seamlessly and make the guitar very practical and fun to use. Playability is excellent, the neck feels comfortable, and the overall design is modern and well thought out. It’s ideal for musicians who want portability, technology, and quality sound in a single instrument. Highly recommended.

No support!
The guitar is pretty awesome and works as advertised so far. The mic worked for a day. Various emails to the support team remained unanswered. It is very frustrating to deal with Enya but unfortunately I have too much time invested in customizing the presets that keeps me from returning it. Update: Enya was not able to get the mic to work, they even sent me a replacement mic. Didn’t work either. Bluetooth stopped working after a few weeks. Gladly I had bought it through Amazon which helped get in touch with the supplier in China. US Service was non responsive. After going back and forth with the manufacturer I got my money back. Guess I’m just one of the lucky ones. Too bad! Great concept, fun guitar when it works. Unfortunately electronics are not reliable. Cannot recommend it after all the troubles I encountered.

High quality all around, 2nd gen, no setup issues.
I've read everything there is to know about this guitar on the internet before purchasing it so I'm gonna add to the pile. I also watched every video of someone using one on youtube, and even had my wife (whose name this amazon account is under) translate that one chinese reviewer too! First off, it's a great guitar, everything arrived in beautiful condition. Something to note is that Enya is on generation 2 of this product now. Generation 1 had an iridescent gold sound-hole, a petal-patterned inlay with no fret markers, and a herringbone carbon-fiber pattern. The newer generation 2 product has a gold sound-hole, a hexagonal carbon-fiber pattern, and has fret markers from 3-17. The differences are mainly aesthetic. It doesn't mean much to me, but it really does look damn beautiful to see in person. Notes on playability: 1) It's a thin C-shaped(almost D-shaped) neck, really smooth satin-finish all the way around so you can glide across real easily without sticking in humidity. 2) The big bass emphasis is definitely here, sounds great with fingerstyle. It has both a piezo and regular microphone pick-up so it'll catch your percussion on the body as well. 3) I didn't really appreciate this from the videos, but it has a ton of sustain, definitely more than wood acoustics I've played, almost like an electric guitar's sustain. Addressing quality concerns you might have read about: 1) I'd read about setup issues in acoustic guitar forums that someone got it with high action because the truss rod was loose. This was not the case for me, it came fully setup with appropriately low action, no intonation issues. 2) Another review here on Amazon complained about the bridge not being attached to the guitar haha, that guy obviously didn't read the product description that the floating bridge is part of the design. 3) Another review complained about a aesthetic flaw in the fiber before it was resin-pressed, no issues with mine. 4) Heard instructions were in chinese and only available via PDF. My package included a paper manual written in clear English. Other notes: 1) Heard the Control panel is charged with a "special" cable", mine came package with a regular Type-C USB connection, with USB-A on the other end. Maybe it used to be different in gen 1? 2) Comes with a pretty good quality case with 2 case straps, a leather guitar strap, truss rod adjustment tool, and a 1/4" cable. 3) If there was anything I would complain about, it's that the knobs on the control panel are black on black, and just have a tiny black double-notch to indicate where the knob is pointing. Would be nice if the indicator notches were painted white or something so I could see them more easily. (I could just do that myself though if I cared enough to do it).

Carbon fibre for under $1000!? Wow.
I compare 3 guitars in this video. The first is an Ovation Applause with old electric guitar strings (my beach jam guitar). It sounds tinny and buzzy, but it allows me to play along to songs as if I was playing my electric. The G-string is plain, not wound so I can bend it. The second guitar is the carbon fibre Donner. It sounds richer and bigger and is very easy to play after I adjusted the action and took one shim out from under the saddle. Unfortunately, it's too small for my adult sausage fingers. Decent bass response as well.. The third guitar is the all carbon fibre Enya with on board effects and a pickup. The effects 'magically' come out of the guitar (after charging it via USB) without the need for any amp or external speaker. It's very cool. Much richer tone and much easier to play than the Donner due to the adult scale length and string spacing. I did have to adjust the action to my taste by lifting the neck about a millimeter. To do this I loosened the allen bolts inside the guitar (a real tight squeeze for my large hands) and gently wiggled the neck up to where I wanted it to sit. I used an electronic caliper to measure the string height at the 12th fret and adjusted to taste.. Then I simply squeezed my hand into the soundhole again and fumbled with the allen key again and tightened the neck down. Other than that, it was great. The Applause cost me $25 at a Pawnshop, the Donner was $299 (special price for the yellow body) and the Enya was $599. Each are great in their own way and if I had to choose only one, the Enya wins hands down. The Enya is a pro quality instrument that gives Rainsong, Emerald and a few others cause for concern. It comes with a very classy (think symphony cello) gloss black hard shell case. Oh, and the onboard effects are a hoot. Playing David Gilmour style acoustic stuff with delay, chorus or reverb (2 of 3 at once) kept me busy for hours. Not sure how effective (pun intended) they'd be in a live setting, but sitting on the couch or jamming around a bonfire is a blast.

When I review something I usually keep it short and this is different, read on. I have only had the guitar for a week. First the bad- It took 6 weeks to get it, of course it came direct from China and was delayed at customs. I received a message from Amazon that the package may be lost, I emailed to the company and was told the package was just delayed. Customer service was first rate, responded immediately and kept me informed, I could almost feel their response was genuine, good experience with Enya. The guitar seems to scratch easily, just at the right hand area probably from my finger nails, I think a pick guard is needed. The carbon fiber design is not as noticeable as I hoped, still nice but does not pop out as expected. Last bad- If you purchase this guitar you will not be able to put it down, your other guitars will be obsolete, Ha! The good- This may be the best guitar I have ever played, it just feels right. The neck to me is the most important part of a guitar and this neck is smooth as butter, the string height was way too high for me but a little bit of sanding got the saddle/bridge lower to my liking. The relief too needed a slight adjustment. It is playable on up to the 14th 15th frets. Absolutely no buzz, even with the string height lower than my other acoustics. This guitar is a wonderful acoustic, the sound is bold at the base and clean and high on the higher notes. Turn on the on board electrics and all the additional sounds are easily attainable. Really sounds great. I have a few guitars and amps as do most guitar players, I find the positive grid amp I have really opens up all the sounds you would expect from an electric guitar but the sound is from an acoustic, wow. I am deaf in my right ear from measles as a child, (get your children vaccinated!) one of the reasons for purchasing the Enya was the position of the sound hole, silly as it sounds but it really does work, I can hear the guitar much better than guitars with the center hole. Ok I bored you enough, this is a great guitar, if your on the fence purchase it I think you will enjoy the Enya. I will update after a month or so. Update-- Feb 2022-- All of the above review needs no correction except for the scratches, too bad really because it is an exceptional guitar. I tried a pick guard but it looked terrible and worse it changed the sound. For me this is an expensive guitar and now with the significant scratching it is not very pretty. I do not recommend this guitar because of the scratching. Update April 2022-- I tweaked the string height again and dang it I went to low and needed a new saddle, My mistake, I ordered a new saddle through Amazon but I could not get one exactly as the original, I tried a couple with no luck. I could not get back to the electrics working as good as new. I contacted customer service and they sent me three new ones free of charge, that is great customer service! The new one worked perfect with a little sanding I got it right and it now sounds as great as new. It is still one of my favorite guitars. Still scratches but I do play it a lot, I would not sell it for sure!

The simply greatest!
So grateful for my guitar! I love the way it sounds, feels and looks. The deluxe package made it all super easy! I can use loop peddle, sing into the mic and it's AMAZING! Enya makes solid guitars and they honor the poor as the prices are far lower for what they make. I just never thought I'd have it so great. Thanks

Guitar awesome - the rest is just ok
The guitar plays and sounds great. I didn't like the charging stand. You can't charge the guitar without removing the strap. Also, it doesn't always connect. Mic is just so so. It's huge so doesn't fit regular mic holder. Sound is just ok. Looper and drum machines are not the easiest to use. Drums sounds good but not controllable. I use beatbuddy and is much better. Looper is confusing. However, this is my first looper so I'm probably just not used to it Overall, it's a great guitar but would recommend not getting the deluxe.

Versatile… easy to use. Suits my needs
Liked everything except the screen. Wish it were a bit bigger… but I understand that there’s no room for bigger screens
