I purchased this for my son since he chose to learn to play the saxophone in school band. I didn't want him using a used mouthpiece.

Cheap that was the key here…looks like the picture..came in a super dented little box, but was intact and in great shape..it is very obviously a cheap mouthpiece, but it works!

I know that this is going to sound weird, but I didn't get this yomone alto Saxophone Mouthpiece Set for a saxophone. Nope, not at all. As a matter of fact, I got it for a sort of Digeridoo that I am making from a piece of bend bamboo. In other words, I'm building my own home-made musical (well, I can't claim yet that it'll be making any "music" as interpreted by the human ear) instrument which I HOPE will sound pleasant, at least, to me or anyone who ends up within earshot of it.Anyway, we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck!Oh, by the way, I have tested this Yomone Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece Set affixed to a PVC pipe just to see if it puts out a nice sound, and by golly, it DOES!

Any performance arts device needs to be ready when it needs to be ready. These are the kinds of things that make any Mom or Dad the hero when the original might have failed. If you have a sax player in your family, buy one and keep it around. Even if you never use it, there is a piece of mind in having a valid backup. And the small cost of having the backup is about the cost of a 'grande' cup of coffee.
