I repaired the bottom part of my boat on 08 2023 and now I am using this ona bigger boat. Buying 2 more.

I got it to work but it was not easy. If you are trying to repair an area that is less than 1 inch in diameter, it may work fine. Scratches over 3-6 inches long are difficult. I was disappointed on the texture. It is like a bubble gum, which it is difficult to spread with the spreader. It cures very fast, no matter how much or little hardener you use. The instructions say you have 8 minutes to match the color but you may not be able to spread the bubble gum after 8 minutes. The instructions were very vague. It does not even tell you how long it takes to cure or to be ready for a second coat. For long scratches, I ended up using the stir stick rather than the spreader. This created a very heavy coat over the scratch, which then requires extra work sanding it down. This product was just $20 dollars, so that's really the biggest advantage.

I wasn't sure how I was going to get a color match for my boat with the colors provided. But was able to get exactly what I wanted. I was wondering how I was going to get a light beige color. The white acrylic resin provided, was the trick. Needed very little color to add. Just used a toothpick tip of yellow to get it

I wish this stuff was thinner or more viscous. I just want to repair the gel coat on our fiberglass trailer and when I applied it, it formed a really thick coating which will require sanding

I tried using this product on several different projects. The channel seals on my trucks roof. I wire brushed the channel down to the wood and primed it. Applied this product and a couple days later I found it chalky and peeling off easily. It acted like regular bad caulk. Used it on cracks and chips for my Trucks Bed's Top Cover. Again, it peeled and didn't adhere. I'm likely to do more good preparation work than most with sanding or wire brushing to clean and roughen surfaces. I follow product application instructions especially when it comes to curing times between applications. Doing an alcohol wipe down of the surface and making certain it's thoroughly dry. I honest can't understand what this product is for, given how badly it worked for me. UV resistant it seemed perfect to seal my truck top with. I kick myself for not taking pictures of its peeling. But having to take it all off down to the bare wood again steamed me.

Easy to use, went on smoothly and did a great job of the minor spot repair my boat needed.

It has enough time (10-15 minutes) to mix colour but trying to get a desert sand color was beyond me. Considering filling gaps and painting vs Colorado matching gel coat.

I bought a used boat which had several chips and scratches in the gel coat. I ordered this repair kit thinking that it might work and was very impressed with how well it did work! The boat looks as good as new now.
