Q: Is this dishwasher safe?

The wood base pulls off but I wouldn't put that in the dishwasher. The mouth piece is wood and should be hand washed you should hand dry the wood mouth piece as fast drying wood with heat is not what you want to do. You can place the glass tube in the dishwasher I suggest placing the glass tube in the flatware holder to protect it. I think the best way to clean it is to soak the glass part of this item in dish detergent ( use dawn ). then use a brush to clean the internal part f the tube. Browse "Nylon tube/pipe brushes on Amazon. There are many that fit and work excellent with this item. I love this item!!
