I bought the Helly Hanson roll top backpack and loved it. Decided to get similar bags for my sons. I got one this bag and my other a stubble in co. All of these bags are pretty much the same size but this one is $30, the Helly Hanson is $75, and the stubble and co is $145. They are all different materials but all are similar size and I don’t think one is better than another, just different. The stubble is a softer material and the HH bag is much more of a thick canvas while bag this is a lighter material that is very similar to the 5.11 non tear pants if you are familiar with that maybe obscure reference.After seeing these 3 bags I think this is my favorite and it is by far the cheapest.If you are comparing the 3, stubble does have nice lined pockets and a unique soft fabric and is well made. The HH is a much simpler design but with heavier canvas material but no bottle holder. This bag has everything as the stubble and co but with a lighter but still durable material.

This bag is not for you if you have lots of small items that need compartments with quick and easy access. It can be annoying reaching deep into the main compartment to look for your stuff. I wanted this as an everyday backpack for my laptop and work items, but I will instead use this for the outdoors and short trips.In general, it is well-built and smart-looking. It's best used for its large capacity - like taking large supplies, clothes for a trip etc. I don't regret buying this, only that it isn't suitable for my work items which include lots of small electronics, wires, laptop, notebooks etc. I would have gone for a backpack built with more and easy-to-access compartments.

I’m always concerned that someone will open my bag when I’m in Manhattan. Because it rolls and zips I don’t worry about it anymore. It’s strong and has plenty of space for all my stuff.

I've been looking for a smaller crag bag and this hit the mark. I cut out the laptop pouch because who wants a laptop while rock climbing? It has enough spots on the outside to hang gear off of. I love the color.

This backpack is a mid to low range backpack. The fabric is on the thin side so it won't hold up to much abuse. The capacity is decent with the top unrolled, but its not very wide. The bottom is about 5 inches front to back which limits how much it will hold compared to other packs. Do you want the storage area to go up or out? This one goes up.The stitching seems average and the straps are also on the thin side. Padding at the back is standard.

Just took it on an overseas trip and having a roll top style backpack was really convenient. Used it as my carry on to put under the plane seat and it comfortably fit my 15.6in laptop, 11in iPad, a couple of books, headphones, a sweater, toiletry bag, and a few more things. The shoulder straps aren’t the most comfortable if it gets too heavy, however, for the price, can’t complain. Contents stayed dry after a quick rain drizzle, but the way it’s made, I wouldn’t bet on it being waterproof. I do like the pockets and light padding inside - it has now replaced my messenger bag when transporting the laptop and other electronics.I got the pink one and the color is accurate to the product listing. Got many compliments and would consider purchasing again.

Bought as a replacement for my 17in laptop backpack. Can fit the same amount of stuff (clothes, shoes, laptop, etc) without being cramped or overly bulky/stuffed. My only complaint is I wish it had a front outside pocket. It's the only reason it didn't get 5 stars. Can't speak on water resistance since it hasn't rain yet.
