12" Blades Worked Well on Sago Palms and Roots
-Bottom Line Up Front - I would recommend these blades to a friend. -I selected them due to their lower price (than other more expensive name-brands) for performing my pruning and Sago Palm tree/stump removal knowing any blade would likely wear out/destroy any blades relatively quickly. -IMO these Worked Very Well using 3 of the 5 blades to completely remove multiple Sago Palms, clusters and roots WITHOUT BREAKING. -The blades were surprisingly flexible and not brittle which worked great making cuts at the Sago clusters and to get at the roots at the base of the Palms. -I found they worked better at a moderate tool speed and moving the recip saw up and down in the Sago cuts rather than a straight cut through likely due to the texture/hardness of the Palm trees. -Did it take a bit longer to remove these Sago Palms than using a higher-priced name-brand blade? Maybe...but I wasn't in a hell-fire hurry.

They do the job
Not too thin, not too thick, quite stiff, and very sharp. Exactly what I needed. I definitely recommend it.

Best pruning saw I have ever used.
I am an order woman who has plants that need pruning a few times each year and being on my own, I needed something powerful yet easy to use. I am really enjoying using this pruning blade in my reciprocating sawzall. It makes the work so much easier and quicker. I can't imagine I will use these up in the next several years, but if I need more I will be back to buy more. I recommend these to any and all who need a pruning saw.

Good blades For the Money
I read some of the reviews especially the bad one because mad people tend to give more information about the product I ignore the short ones. I use the blades on both my light duty Ryobi saw and my heavy duty Milwaukee saw. the light duty saw worked fine on cutting small branches to 2in in diameter did have to work the saw a lot. the heavy duty saw was much faster at cutting and could cut much larger diameter 8 in with out having to work the saw as much as the light duty saw. The coating wears off like all other brands I have used so no big deal I would by these blades again and recommend them to other people no problem good blades for the money for cut branches around the home and home use.

Not aggressive enough!
I bought these blades because they were the cheapest I could find. My intent was to cut up one fallen limb in my front yard. The limb is quite large, knocked down by high winds and some historic rot. It's probably 12" x 8" at the base, and 6" at the "small end." It doesn't get smaller, because I cut the 6" end with my pruning saw some years back. Anyway, the job was/is to cut this 1-1/2 ton wooden giant into manageable pieces, so I could hide them in my backyard for a few years until they become firewood or something. I bought the "el cheapo" blades because I figured I would only do this once. I haven't needed these blades in 25+ years at this location, and if it takes another 25 years, I'll buy another set of blades then. Sadly, these blades might be able to cut through mustard, but they don't cut THE mustard. The blades are 12" long, as described. They fit into my DeWalt corded recip saw no problems. They just don't cut. The blades are very 2-dimensional. I suspect they are stamped out as part of the manufacturing process, and then some kind of sharpening-fu is applied to give them a bit of an edge. But the teeth of the blade are not "set". (The "set" of a saw is the amount to which the teeth angle out from the plane of the saw blade. A good pruning/woodcutting saw will have a wide, aggressive set to chew through soft wet wood quickly.) The result of this is that you can slide the blade over your pants and not worry about it snagging. But you can't run the blade over wood and expect it to cut very fast. I tried the blade on a few 1" thick branchlets, and it cuts through those with a short delay -- it's still not quick, but it does work. I think you could use this for "light pruning." But why would you want to use a 12" blade for light pruning? That's what a 4" blade is for! I want this blade to do some serious work, and sadly it just isn't up to the task. Note: I have had no problems with breaking or binding. My target wood is on the ground, and I'm working on my knees - everything is nice and stable. So I can't say one way or the other if these will handle binding, or if they are prone to excessive binding. Even if you are like me, in a "use once" scenario, I cannot recommend these blades. I think I need to look for some more expensive blades with a nice aggressive set, maybe just one-blade-per-order or something. Lesson learned.
