Barbie The Movie Collectible Ken Doll Wearing Black and White Western Outfit (Exclusive)

He arrived early AND came in the Mattel box. So I know he's mint and ready to be gifted this Christmas.

It was absolutely AWESOME to see him in this outfit...as a cowboy, as I always wondered what he'd look like as a 'cowboy'! Now I know...and I am super-excited to have acquired him. He was as well delivered timely, and I couldn't be happier!

I love the doll, but what pleases me the most is that it arrived in absolutely perfect condition!

Overall I like this Ken doll very much. He came extremely promptly, although the box was a mess. So, I can not see keeping it as a collector item. This made my decision about which of my Kens I was going to unbox and "play" with and redress easier, however. (Yay, me!!) The cowboy costume is very well detailed. Love the pants, boots, belt and hat. . The shirt is a slightly different matter. It's constructed well and stays "tucked in", (due to a shirt strap that one of Ken's leg goes through)...but the white shoulder "fringe" will take a while to lay flat, naturally. Also, under that cowboy hat, there's quite a mess of gel and a serious case of "hat head". I got to give my first male Barbie doll his first shampoo and trim. It was a little shaggy back there, I noticed, once I combed the hair out. He's wearing the jeans and boots he arrived in, but I redressed him in a black leather jacket with a white shirt. Ken looks great. Anyway, I think this was a very good purchase. I would have given it five stars, had the box not been tattered on the top corners and bottom, (I.e. "giftable" condition or collectible condition). Also,I have to admit, I had fun horrifying my male roommate when I brought unclothed Ken into the kitchen to get the "mess of gel" out of his hair. His uncomfortable expression made the somewhat tedious task of cutting the plastic from Ken's body...which I discovered under his cowboy costume... totally worth it. I'm now ready to open a Margo/Barbie and redress her in a black leather outfit to match this Ken.
