Renfrew 10 Roll Pack, Ice Hockey Stick Blade Handle Tape, Black, 24mm x 25yd

Tape came with a dent on the side which made taping difficult. Also found that it wore very fast and was much more susceptible to tearing.

Product was on time and was what I needed.

Quick delivery, tape works as expected.

I ordered this tape and tried wrapping my stick with it but it looks like I got a defective batch. The tape was twisted in on itself and and wouldn't wrap properly around the stick. The adhesive backing was coming off the tape itself and it was pretty much unusable. I'm inclined to think this was a bad batch and hopefully this product is normally better than this.

Not the same Renfrew I used as a hockey player and Manager. I guess the good stuff only goes to the teams. I bought some other brand awhile back and it had rough edges all through the roll. I thought it was just that company's product was subpar. I could not believe this tape was the same. I would not want to tape my hockey stick with this stuff. Every roll, both sides, all the way through the roll has that jagged edge finish. I always thought Renfrew was the best tape. At least I can tear this stuff with my hands. (Most of the time.) I would return it if I was taping my hockey sticks. I'm taping the handles of some throwing knives. It really looks bad though. It doesn't seem to hold up well either. I haven't got a reference point for knives, so it could be the abuse it takes. Maybe it is produced like this now to keep the threads from pulling off the edges. I'll have to ask some buddy's that are still close to the game.
