Let’s see if it does the job
I purchased this case as a completely dust/waterproof case. I work outside on a farm and it gets incredibly dusty when dry and incredibly muddy when wet. I need a case that can protect my phone from both of these things. The £88 I paid for this case seems quite expensive but I was willing to give it a go. My initial impressions are that it seems well made and looks good, although I’m not sure any case is worth £88 but we will see. The back clear plastic is however very easy to scratch, I tried to clean some dust off the outside with a micro fibre cloth which managed to get a tiny bit of grit in it so there’s no chance this case will stay clean at the farm but I doubt any case would. Front screen protector seems like the going standard for these types of cases, thin, presumably scratches rather easily but this hasn’t been tested yet. I plan to update this review once I have used it a bit at work and to hopefully let anyone else know whether it is worth buying at such a high price point.Update:So after 5 days of work at the farm I can say that in my opinion this case is not worth close to the price I paid. The only times I opened the port at the bottom was to charge my phone at night, yet it has seemed to gather enough dust/particles for it to be annoying under the screen protector. It’s not the end of the world having to open the case and clear it but it is rather difficult to get it fully cleaned and put back together without trapping some more dust in there or realising you missed a bit. I cannot speak for the waterproofness of this case as I have not had a real world test. I am sure for most people who just want a bit of extra protection for their phone doing the occasional activity this case would suffice. But for anyone who is going to be using it for a long time every day in the environments this case advertises it is designed for, I cannot recommend it. Certainly not at this high price, there are many other phone cases that will do the same job as this for far less money. I hope this has been helpful to anyone pondering whether this is the case for them.

Has quality control slipped?
I’ve been a big fan of Catalyst cases for several years now, having owned two for my iPhone 6. Those were the best cases I’ve ever owned. I was happy with the feel and protection of the cases, and had no concerns about the waterproofing - putting it to the test on a number of occasions. However, I’m a bit worried that Catalyst has slipped on the quality control side of things. The feel of the rubberised bumper element of the case is different, and feels less premium as a result. The rear element of the case seems harder to attach correctly. Most worryingly of all, the case I was sent initially had a slight, but unmistakable bend.Catalyst customer service were excellent, and shipped a non-bent replacement, but I just wish I could have a case as good as the old ones were. It certainly doesn’t feel like a £90 case.Edit: And it appears Catalyst agree, because there’s now a pre-order listing stating the cost is £50. I’m dropping a star if they reduce it that much.Further edit: Yep, they’ve dropped the price by £35. Not cool, Catalyst...

Good depending on use
I bought this case to use during a beach holiday & snorkelling and had mixed results. Even at approx 30ft underwater it was totally waterproof and protected against sand, scratches, etc for every day use at the beach (although the screen cover scratches easily). However, the iPhone X touch screen does not work particularly well underwater (with or without a case) so the camera settings had to be selected above water and operated with the side volume buttons. For some reason the side buttons with the case only worked part of the time. Also when using the phone while swimming underwater, the constant movement causes the camera settings to change (e.g. from Photo to Video to Portrait, etc) and was very frustrating to use without constantly returning the surface to re-set. Notwithstanding some missed shots, I did manage to get photos/video underwater despite the hassles.Overall, it's a good waterproof, protective case for general use but there are better (more expensive) cases specifically for underwater photos.

Worth every penny
Have always used lifeproof cases but my last one didn’t last very long, but this case had already proved its worth through me dropping the phone on metal grating and no damage at all to the phone and not a mark on the case. This case has also been in 15ft if water after I dropped it as well, and my phone was in perfect working order when my mate handed it back to me after he found it, will deffo buy again!!

Good case but rip off price.
Good case but rip off price. I have also have the cheaper 20 pound versions from other suppliers to compare to...Smaller more attractive case than 20 pound versions. But 90 pounds? Nothing in the product costs than warrant this cost. Taking the piss due to lack of competition in the market place and they know it.

Very good quality
The case provides excellent protection and works perfectly with my wireless charger. I had a slight problem with mine initially, However catalyst have sorted out the rare problem I had for me with superb service. I will use catalyst for my next phone no doubt.
