Quite interesting, but all felt a little bit "second hand experience" compared to other books on shepherding written by lifetime shepherds

Wonderful book for country lovers

Bought this for our son who wants to become a farmer and thought this would be an ideal read.The book was in excellent condition and feels like its brand new, delivery was very quick too

great book to read

Enjoyed this book tremendously, especially because I raised a small flock of sheep in the US and also because I have a great interest in England and it's history. This covered both, as well as working with sheep dogs. Greatly enjoyed all of the history it contained and first person accounts. So sad this way of life has been replaced by modernization.

I really enjoyed this book. Great history of Shepherding over the years in England.
