This range hood is nice quality and came packed pretty well. We had to cut the stainless steel sleeves to fit our application. Installation wasn't too bad. It took us about 3 hours (2 people) including time to install extra support in the ceiling. It works well and looks fantastic! It's definitely worth the money. We love the 4 lights as well. Getting the blue protective coating completely off requires time and patience so don't get in a rush.

The hood is great. Allowed me to lower hood closer to stove and were able to vent it directly to the outdoors. No more smoke filled rooms! And the four included LED lights are perfect!

UPDATE: The seller provided a full refund, was prompt and professional in their communications. I repurchased the gesture sensing version and have tested the fan motor - works fine. Also the blue film was MUCH easier to remove on this model. I increase my rating to 3 star for this version, but would definitely recommend spending a few extra bucks and getting the gesture sensing version.I don't usually write reviews, but this thing is a bit of a nightmare. The big issue is that the fan motor casing is cracked (see pic) making it non-functional. This defect was not apparent until it was fully installed and we tried to turn it on. Install took three people 5 hours (no exaggerating). 2 of those 5 hours were pealing off the blue protective film which is trapped in joints where sheet metal pieces are joined or where inserts have been placed.While others complain about the instructions, I think they are adequate.Quality is OK, but not great.I started the return process and am really hoping the seller will simply send a new "head" unit (with fan, lights, controls, glass, etc. rather than asking that I disassemble the entire thing and start over.

Edit: dropping the stars down to 2. Sadly you cannot purchase replacement baffles (the wire mesh filters, NOT charcoal ones). Despite reaching out to the manufacturer, and going back and forth with them via email, they were very insistent as to WHY I want to buy replacements. I explained that I dropped one and the frame cracked and I just want to buy a few so I don’t have a problem in the future. They demanded photos. I told them I was not interested in doing any of this - are they available for purchase or not? Then they ghosted me… refused to respond to me further. So - you now have TWO stars. For future customers, BEWARE. What if YOU need replacements? I’d stay away, and I regret my purchase!This vent hood was a new construction install. Never had a vent in the kitchen, so I hired a GC to handle it all. He installed the mounting plate and cut the hole in the mounting plate off center (from where the existing hole is) to avoid a roofing truss. Once mounted, he called in an electrician to install a 110 outlet box in the attic. He didnt use the flexible aluminum conduit and instead bought a foot hard rigid conduit and used that instead. He said for long term use, you wanted to have a higher quality air conduit. Once done, a few adjustments, the photo shows the end product. He had to cut into the exterior roof to vent outside - needed to buy roof vent materials/flashings etc. When all done, took about 6 hours. We were all very happy.
