What Heals Us: Falls Creek, Book 2

This was my first time reading from this author, and let me tell it she can write a dang good book. There was no plot holes, there was lots of spice and good character development. I will be reading her other books . ❤️10/10❤️

Oh my! Maggie outdid herself with this one. I know I always say this one was the best yet everytime I read a book by Maggie but I mean it this time. this one is so far her best and I read it in record time for me: 2 days! Austin is every girls dreamy prince charming and Caroline is his Cinderella. this book is a good ol fashioned love story with spice to make you swoon or combust-you pick your poison. at the heart of this book is Caroline's list and Austin to help her check of her list in the process they get their happliy ever after. I could see how much this book meant to Maggie radiating from the pages. I also saw a little bit of caroline in me. she was real! not just a character from a book but she was real! you will truly enjoy this book from cover to finish. we get to catch up a bit with the falls creek residents and maybe a couple of beaufort one as well. Well done Maggie. well done.

I loved every minute of this story. If you’ve read Maggie’s other books, this one is slightly on the lower end of the spice scale, it’s still plenty spicy… just sweeter overall, and very nurturing.Austin was the absolute best hero. He knows what he wants from moment one, he is strong and steady and consistent and respectful and so so so dreamy.Caroline is relatable and kind and loving and strong, and so deserving of a hero like Austin.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️“Austin Hale was big. Enormous even. He was the size of a mountain, but moved with the precision, dexterity, and silence of a ninja. This book… this amazing, beautiful, and heartwarming book!! Maggie Gates is hands down one of the best small-town romance writers (and one of my favorite people). She’s once again written another story that everyone should read. Austin and Caroline’s love story was perfect, and I loved every second of reading about their happily ever after.We all know and love Austin from when he was introduced in the Poker Club series, but Caroline quickly stole our hearts too. It’s clear throughout her books that Maggie spends a lot of time handling certain aspects of the characters' lives with care and love. We see that with her portrayal of Caroline dealing with an illness like Lupus.This book is magic and storytelling together, creating something simply beautiful. I highly recommend all romance lovers read What Heals Us (and every book written by the fabulous Maggie Gates)!👨‍🚒❤️ 🎨🖌👩🏼‍🏫❄️

How to begin to put into words how much I loved this book. First off, most of us went in already loving Austin and needing him to get the HEA he deserved. Of course, Maggie wouldn't let us down! Caroline was absolute perfection! This book was exactly what I was hoping it would be. I especially loved the appearances of the Poker Club and the glimpse into what I hope is a future book (Shane & Beth).I have read every one of Maggie Gates books and have loved every single one of them. So happy to finally have Austin's story and to have loved it so much!

Holy crap on a cracker.....we finally get Austin Hale's book and it delivered. Austin is an overprotective person especially when it comes to family. So when Beth, his sister, needs him, he takes off to help her. What Austin didn't expect was to find his happily ever after. Caroline is a 22 year old teacher with a medical past that she is trying to find balance in. Austin comes in and shows her what it is like to live fully and be taken care of. Daddy Hale delivered. I loved this book so much. Austin has dethroned Chase as being my favorite. Maggie darling you never disappoint.

I pretty much expected Austin Hale to be a hero to drool over, especially with the tastes we got of him in previous stories. But DAYUM, I was totally enthralled with this romance. From his worries over being "too old" to her worries about "not being enough," the journey to Austin and Caroline's HEA was a trip of fulfilling expectations and swoonworthy moments. Maggie, m'darlin', you've done it again!

So I’ve read the first of the series and this one. But this one holds my heart. Austin is just goals. He was the alpha simp we all want in our lives. The older brother we all wished our best friend had. I absolutely adored him and his ✨sugar✨. She was so strong and felt so genuine to her character development with being a v card holder. Nothing felt forced. Loved it so much.

OK this book was too sweet, too spicy, and too perfect. I loved it! The NYE party, the dance, the bed and breakfast...and learning that there was more layers to BJ! I am loving the Falls Creek gang and can't wait for more!

This was such a beautiful story and will leave you with a smile on your face. The main characters were just perfect.I loved that we got to see characters from previous books and series and I really, really loved reading Austin and Caroline’s love story.This was such a special book and I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series 💕
