Issues
I use it for my 100 gallon aquarium which I use a wet dry sump filter. It is easier to pump new water when doing water changes into the sump without having to create a siphon plus it is faster.Perhaps I got a lemon but after a couple of months of using the item where it worked perfectly, it now just stops all the time in the middle of pumping in terms of the power just shuts off no matter if the battery is fully charged. Second, it has great trouble in pumping water when first turning it on. These pumps always pump better when you turn them on already submerged and can take many seconds to start pumping when they are not submerged, but this one can either take seconds or not at all which appears to because of the angle and length of the hose. Third, the hose that comes attached is too stiff making it very difficult to do more delicate/precise jobs such as my use of water changes in my aquariums. It is a great idea but seems to have needed better planning or quality.

aqua pump
This little pump works wonders at removing water from unwanted locations. It was also great for watering my plants at our summer place where there is only well water. It saved the plants from dying this summer when the rain decided to take a vacation for most of the summer not to mention my back from hauling water around in a wheel barrel and having to use a watering can. Pumped water into a large container hooked a hose up to the pump and watered away. I loved it not to mention my plants were thankfull too. It had enough pressure to push the water out of the hose at a good rate over a hundred feet.

Good pump
This little pump is very effective and will be great to pump out my boat when rainwater gathers. Unfortunately, it wasn't strong enough to pump out my driveway and the battery lasts less than an hour and then takes 10-12 hours to recharge. So, it isn't good for big jobs.

Do not recommend!!!
Purchased the unit less than a year ago. Only used it a handful of times to drain standing water from a paddle boat before it quit. The worse part is that although it comes with a one year warranty there is no support for it past 30 days. The website in the documentation is useless and after contacting the seller {Northern Marine} I was told to contact the manufacturer who claimed no responsibility and referred me back to the seller. As I said before don't expect any support after the first 30 days. You are rolling the dice on this one.

Incredibly versatile, powerful, and awesome!
What can I say but this thing rocks? I've been waiting for a solution like this for a long time. Charge it up, submerge it in water, and pump out - simple as that. I use it for emptying an aquarium. I use it for my rigid hull inflatable dinghy to empty the hull out from rains/etc. It's amazing for blasting the radiator of my atv or truck after playing in the mud. The list goes on... get one!

Rule Aqua Charge Portable Pump will only drain your wallet
The only reason I gve it 1 star was because I couldn't give it zero. When you buy a product you expect it to work. The first didn't work at all, the second one lasted for about 2 seconds and than stopped working. In short it was a piece of junk and obviously the Rule company didn't even perform the lowwest level of QC on the product. This product met none of my expectations.

Been looking for something like this for a long time
Just tossed the pump into the bottom of my dinghy after a two inch rainfall and watched it pump it dry in a couple of minutes. No sweating, no mess. Same thing applied to the bottom of the boat's refrigerator. Nice product that serves a very useful purpose.

A bit overpriced, but surprisingly good.
We use this to wash down the boat. It's quite useful and powerful for a battery powered pump. It pumps plenty of water to wash the mud and dirt off the deck and seats. It definitely feels like a cheep plastic pool toy, but it does the job.

Crap
You cannot drain anything using a hose - you have to actually put the whole pump in the water, so forget emptying anything small (toilets, sinks, aquariums, etc), and it won't even take out the last inch and a half or so. Quite useless for small jobs, and too small for big jobs.

Iron out the kinks for water pump
The product would be better if we could get the kinks out of the hose. The hose is not very pliable and during shipping the hose had to be bent in order to fit in the box. As a result the hose has severe kinks that we have not been able to remove. Perhaps next time they could spring for a bigger box so the hose doesn't have to be bent so severely.
