I needed to crimp a 1.2mm crimping loop which the tool marks as “1”. The two half-moons slots on the jaw of the tool are out of alignment. It’s not that notable for the larger crimp slots bur is very noticeable for the “1” and “2” sizes. Need to take off one starORIGINAL REVIEW 22 September 2023This 24 inch crimper/cutter is a brute. It uses the same sort of double compound action mechanism as has my 24 inch bolt cutter but this swaging tool is twice as expensive as 24” bolt cutter. It will cut cable or wire up to 3/16” in diameter. There are two cutters, one on each side. Each will accommodate different diameter cable/wire.Note: TOUGHER brand 24” swaging/cutter tool is a similar design to the SPENDING brand but is $59 and comes with 50 aluminum oval sleeves and pair of gloves so it would be the better deal. But read the reviews and make a decision yourself.

Manly tool
This is a unique tool for fastening cable ends and I will be using it on my property up north after my survey. Nothing small or light about this and it will require the full mobility this young 60-year-old man has. There may be easier ways such as ratchets or compressor type but I am old school and this will do. It is well made and looks unbreakable and with proper maintenance should last a lifetime.

Don't waste your money
I bought this product to sway 5/32" wire rope. When I tried to cut the cable to get a clean end, it wouldn't cut the cable all the way thru. I had to take a pair of shears to cut the final strands. I ended up with a worst end that I started with. After finally getting the rope to go thru the ferrell to make a loop I attempted to try to swag the connector. It didn't crimp it, it crushed it. What I ended up with is a mess. This tool doesn't perform as it says.
