The alarm function has now completely stopped working; the light didnt even go on today. Fortunately, Amazon refunded me so I can buy another model.I have had this item about a month and a half. I like the look of it, and for a while was pretty happy with the function. I usually wake up from the light before the alarm goes off, though I don't leap out of bed ready to take on the world like some reviewers, ha. The sounds are a little cheesy, though my cats like the bird one. The material is cheap plastic that would probably break if dropped, but looks nice enough. Note that it doesn't come with an a/c adapter, just a usb cord.I don't love the touch light function because you have to touch multiple times to change the brightness or to turn the lamp on. The brightest light isn't very bright, either -- just barely enough for me to read by if I'm lying right next to it. It's also very easy for a pet to accidentally turn on or off if they brush against it -- my cats have turned the light on in the middle of the night a couple of times.However, the biggest issue I'm having is that the alarm doesn't always go off! I did have this happen once when I first got the clock, but I figured I must have done something wrong. However, now I've had it for 6 weeks, several times in the past couple of weeks, the alarm never sounded. At first I thought I'd done something wrong, so I've been extremely careful, but I was late to work twice in the past week because it just never went off. I'm a very light sleeper, so there's no way I'm sleeping through it. The light works, but not the alarm, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason, it just sometimes doesn't work.Since it's been over 30 days, I wrote to the seller to see if they would allow me to return or exchange, and if they say no, I'll try Amazon first, then my credit card company; I have no use for an alarm clock that doesn't go off! And an item shouldn't stop working right after the return period is up.

I am one of those people that really need help waking up in the morning and thought that this light would help. The light does get pretty bright and it starts to glow 30 minutes before your wake up time. It’s a pretty nice feature. Unfortunately I don’t like any of the sound options. They are way too noisy for me and not very soothing so i just end up turning it off in the morning. I have only had it for 5 months and it started making a weird squeaky sound when I have it plugged in. It freaks me out so I just unplugged it. It’s never been dropped, or messed with so I don’t know why it randomly started making that weird sound. I do like the light but not all of it’s freatures.

As a teacher who rises before the sun, I needed something to help me be more alert in the mornings. When this works it's pretty good! It's not quite as bright as I would like, but I sleep with it on my bedside table, and its proximity to my head helps. Definitely bright enough to read by if that's something you're interested in. HOWEVER, it's weirdly unreliable. Sometimes it just won't turn on. Sometimes the light will turn on, but the sound never will. I can't figure out if I'm messed with some kind of setting or if it's a flaw in the clock. Annoying. But it's not my only alarm, so it hasn't been too big of a problem yet.

It's just ok. The sounds are poor quality, but the light works great. It is a little difficult to operate. I thought I had it off, but the alarm sounded the next morning, when I didn't have to get up at 4:30.

I knew I should have shelled out for one of the nicer ones, but I bought this. If you can afford it, spend more, get a better one.

The brightness was good. Also, there is a feature which flashes different colors of lights. That's a nice touch. It lasted for two years even though it had fallen quite a few times with me. It is worth the money.

Truly love this ! First time ever I have woken up with NO PAIN! My body seems to be recognizing it and waking up now gently with just the light before the birds start sounding. Best thing I ever got! Warning: mine didn’t work upon plug in, you have to let it charge fully then it will work

Bought this light twice - failure both times. I like waking up to the light and pleasant sounds. Truly helps me be in a good morning mood. It is as everyone describes as far as function options. The light has a battery so you can unplug, which is why I went with this light (power outages in the night). However, after 3 months (both times), the battery drained once and no longer receives a charge (first time), and when the power went out it shorted so that the alarm portion no longer works (second time). Maybe the power outage shocked it as it can only be plugged in via USB. Not worth the purchase I. My opinion. Buy a different one !
