Very nice and smart jars, bigger than expected

Great value, great jars with good air tight tops

There are two tales to tell with these jars. One of lovely nostalgia for the pretty glass vessels and one of frustration over the letdown of the awful plastic lid seals that are included.Firstly, the jars. They come securely boxed, in a large brown card package with foam interior. None of mine arrived damaged, which is always a worry ordering glass over the t'interweb! The jars are super-cute and instantly evoke sweet shops and kitchens of yesteryear. On closer inspection, the obvious seam that joins the two halves of the jar reveals that these aren't great quality. But they look nice, nonetheless.Now, the letdown. The jar lids have a hard plastic seal. Not cork, or silicone, or rubber, or anything remotely sensible! They aren't air tight in the slightest, which means any foodstuffs you had in mind for these won't last too long inside. Shame.So, they're OK for decoration, or for parties, short term storage and non-perishable goods. But not useful as airtight containers - which they are advertised for!

Lovely storage jars very good value for money

I have always loved the look of the old Victorian glass sweet jars, especially when filled with sweets! These are particularly fancy with the lines on the side of the jars and look great. They feel very well made, with tight fitting lid that has a rubber seal to keep whatever is inside dry. They would be ideal for storing sweets or even powders like flour and sugar. I think I will fill mine with my favourite traditional boiled sweets and then try my best not to eat to them all!The jars are surrounded by a dense foam and placed in a sturdy box and are very well protected for transit.Overall I am very happy with these jars and can't wait to put them to use.

These jars are the perfect addition to your pantry. The tight lid means your stuff will not go bad in it.I use these for flour, sugar and pasta.The clear glass means you can see the contents and when you’re running low. The rigged finish means it’s not slippery when you pick it up.The lid shuts perfectly and they look great in a set.Definitely great value for money.

These jars are simply incredible! These jars are now a crucial component of my kitchen's storage. They are quite practical in addition to being aesthetically beautiful.I use them to store various items like biscuits, flour, sugar etc. These jars help them stay fresh for a very long time due to the airtight seal.They are a good size. They are simple to clean, and they give my kitchen shelves a neat and organised look. I highly recommend them!
