Take it to Home Depot; should fit 1 1/4" Dowel
It fits a 1 1/4" dowel. You can just buy it from Home Depot and cut it to size at your house. Be careful drilling the holes. They need to be fairly centered in order for the screw holes to align.

Buy this and make your own!!
No way I was spending $120 or whatever on a pole. Carved my handle out of cherry. Bought a six foot, 1 1/4" wooden dowel ($10) Viola! Awesome.
