A really good light and the solar recharge facility and price make this a "no brainer". The three setting of the light are superbly considered and work well. I have just ordered another.

I love the lamp - when its lit! Unfortunately, the illumination does not last any longer than around 4 hours. I would reduce the power, but the other problem is that the light reacts to my TV remote and is therefore constantly changing the mode/power.

Good , quite bulky and not massively bright , but does the job

It didn’t even lasted a single night with 3 days of charging before installing on wall. The weather yesterday was not bad and we had spells of sunshine all day. And I only set the mode to light when motion is detected.Secondly,I don’t think it’s bright enough considering number of leds in this light. My 10 led light was as bright as this one but lasted all nights even on cloudy days. Thrown all packing and it’s a hassles else would have sent it back but now it will end up in bin.

Reduce to one star due to seller switcheroo of product I neither have nor want, ....BUYER BEWARE! This is a simple design, a wide & deep box compared to other units in 2017. The fact it has 2x 18650 batteries inside gives me hope that with sensible location & activation (IE not on all night) that if south facing with no shadow this will charge a treat even through winter in terms of battery capacity. It is very simple to operate & set in various modes however I like to leave this on the setting for HIGH power detection which reverts back to darkness once the sensor no longer detects movement (maximum efficiency). I did find that the sensor stays on for less time than stated (not a problem for me, in fact far more preferable from a power in the battery point of view), but the light was good & the PIR was very fast to respond within the activation zone. Design wise it is a bit old fashioned (some may prefer that) & arrived well packed complete with wall mounting screws x2. It fits snugly to a wall (south facing) for max solar absorbtion, & is made of very sturdy plastic. The only downside I can see is that the 18650 batteries are hard wired into the unit so I cannot easily recharge them, in fact mine arrived fully depleted & had to be charged (partially) over 2 days of natural & artificial light to put energy in to see how it ran, & it does run well. depending on height of mounting the light is cold white (best for lumens output). You can easily access the settings from the front panel (the black rubberised water resistant push button) but from a security point of view so can others, ...not much of a concern but be aware, less fiddly than de-mounting the unit & adjusting from the rear like some. If the batteries weren't hard wired this would be an easy 5 star, but hey, 4 stars is still agreeable, rear access to the insides is via 6 or so small philips screws to release the rear plate (partially sealed with a water resistant strip, why this isn't all the way round I can only guess, however the electronics are both recessed & raised enough for me to think that moisture gathering & pooling won't be a problem. Nice simple kit for your consideration, the white moulded plastic looks nice & clean, a change from the multitude of black units out there!
