I love this noodle board! Aesthetically pleasing!You can't beat the price compared to others on the market ($60+) that are similar and most don't come with handles.I bought this to replace an older style wooden noodle board. I never realized how much I actually use the board. I'm an empty nester and downsized to a condo that has limited counter space. This board provides extra surface for rolling and kneading dough, chopping up food, as well as a cover for my stovetop to create additional counter space for food prep.The handles are a good size — having them makes it easier to maneuver around and it gives the board a nice aesthetic touch.To clean: I use warm/hot water & dawn dishsoap (or a mild soap). I use the Dawn foam spray plus a DIY spray bottle with just Dawn & water for cleaning. It's very important to keep these boards --CLEAN & DRY thoroughly — obviously you don't want bacteria or mold.... OR get moisture damage to the board. Moisture and mold will ruin the board.To sanitize: I use a spray bottle with water & diluted bleach. I spray it on the board and allow it to stand for a few minutes, then I wash it off with water and dry it good.If you've never used a wooden noodle board before, always make sure that your board isn't exposed to heat & don't place on a 'turned on actively stove' as it will cause a fire. Wait at least 30 min to allow the stove to cool down & put the board back on.If you wanted to paint the board - I would probably use something like chalk paint because it adheres to wood nicely. You can also use a wood stain. This fits right on top of the stove. It gives extra space when stove is not in use.

This item was a major disappointment. The manufacturer claims that it is crafted of high quality pine, but in reality, the wood is so soft that it comes with many nicks from just being shipped in the flimsy cardboard that is it's packing material. They also claim that it is treated so it won't stain and is washable. There is NO sign of anything overtop of the horrific paint job, meant to mimic boards. In fact, when I applied clear contact to protect it from staining, the paint came off on the paper. And nothing is square, as I found out when applying the pre-gridded contact, which is square. Even the pre-drilled holes for the handles, were not in the right place. I did not return it because I just bought my glass top stove and was very protective of the surface and was missing the extra counter space that my old stove provided. So I was anxious to get something to cover the glass while allowing me to use the space. I had already waited a week to get this item and I knew that I could fix the problems, but for $49+ dollars, I should not have been forced to fix it's flaws. If you have power tools and are even a little handy, you can buy the wood for this project for under $10.00, so do it yourself.

I saw bad reviews not sure why. This board is great I added the bee sticker to it. Good quality the handles are super easy to put on. I would buy this again!

This board looks so pretty but I spilled candle wax on it. How do I remove the wax without damaging the board?

Bought this thinking it would create more counter space, it it ended up warping within a month or so

This cover has some heft to it. It looks pretty attractive from a distance but does look a bit cheap up close. The wood is a bit rough so be careful of splinters. The hardware for the handles was easy to install and they seem like they will be sturdy. Great to use as an additional counter surface or a large tray for transporting food or ingredients from one room to another.
