This is a good product that helps keep skin moisturised and mosquitoes at bay.

I was recommended this product by others who knew of it and had used it. I had been having a problem with the insects that I have been trying to attract in the garden. This moisturiser prevents garden insects from biting and I have been using this daily since I received it from Amazon and I can certainly say that I haven't been bitten since then. I don't know if this counts as proof but I am convinced at present. It has a pleasant, lemony/floral scent. I believe it contains citronella but in a disguised form.

We have recently moved to the Isle of Skye and the one thing I was most worried about was the Scottish Midge season as every biting insect on Earth seems to think it's fair game to eat me alive for fun!After 2 weeks of the midge season starting and I was bitten and itchy then I remembered what I'd heard about Skin So Soft - what did I have to lose at this point. Tiny cans of Smidge retail for about £7-8 and these bottles work out at about £3 each. And at least I'd be moisturised too.The dry oil is a little weird at first but I rather like it now as it is less heavy and greasy on my skin. It moisturises well too.Now for the important bit, Midges - I have seen a noticeable reduction in bites but they aren't repelled as such.Midges are attracted to the Carbon Dioxide that all mammals breathe out so unless we stop breathing it will be hard to stop them coming at you.However when I had Skin So Soft on they came in very close, tried to land on my skin and then did a massive U-turn. Only the very very persistent ones found a bit of skin I had missed. The midges will always bite humans first as we are not covered in hair and fur like other mammals so we are easy targets! The Midges still hover round you, get in your face, hair, eyes and still try to bite but are put off by the smell.The smell is miles better than DEET, not a perfume I would choose but better than DEET.So far I have had better results with Skin So Soft than I've had with Jungle Formula, Smidge, Citronella Candles and other products containing DEET and it's better value than all the rest too.Now just to find a way of not breathing out Carbon Dioxide and I'm sorted.Other tips are to wear light coloured clothing and cover up as much skin as possible.

I write as someone who positively attracts insect bites and especially mosquito bites, and I react very badly to them!! I bought the dry oil body spray after the Skin So Soft range was recommended to me by a friend as I had got around 40 mosquito bites from 1-week trip in Guatemala, Central America, which made my life a temporary misery.I took a bottle with me on a 3-week trip to South America, and I can only recommend it wholeheartedly. It dries fast, is not oily, has a pleasant smell, sprays well, feels clean to have on (unlike DEET products) and most of all, it seems to effectively keep away those blood-sucking beasts!! I got substantially fewer bites than I do on my usual trips outside Europe. It may be a coincidence but the times I got bitten were when I forgot to top up. Basically, I sprayed after having a shower, then I generally topped up in exposed areas especially if out at dawn or dusk, or in some hostels that did not feel very enclosed. The best thing about this product is that because it's pleasant to have on, I found it wasn't difficult to keep using it regularly. I also didn't worry about ruining my flip flops etc. as you do with high-% DEET, and happily sprayed and rubbed in between the spaces in my sandals.I have tried both natural/citronella (to my detriment) and DEET-based products in the past, and I have quite sensitive skin and am always quite uncomfortable using strong DEET products. So, to me this is amazing stuff! I also took a well-reviewed 55% DEET spray with me on the trip, but used this much, much less. My boyfriend also took to using this product regularly even though I said it was a woman's body moisturiser and kept offering him my DEET!! ;) If you are looking for moisturising properties though, this is not particularly moisturising, despite the mention of jojoba oil, and I came home with pretty crispy dry skin! This is just in case you are thinking of replacing your body moisturiser with the dry oil spray. However, I will check out their other products in this range in time for my next travels.I wholeheartedly recommend this spray to help guard against mozzies. It may require me to travel to another place and use it there before I believe in it 100%, as I clearly have not conducted any controlled experiments! However, I would say it's 5/5 for how nice it is to use as a skin-contact insect repellent (lowish moisturising properties) and 5/5 for effectiveness against mozzies for someone who usually gets bitten a lot. It even gave me the freedom to wear shorts in the evening. Thank you, Avon!

Bought for trip around NC500, Scotland and seemed to keep midges at bay.Smells and feels fine on skin, not greasy at all. Recommend for keeping the blood midges away

Excellent repellent for gnats, mosquitoes etc.Just spray on legs and arms and it works well

Dieses Spray war für die Mücken in Schottland gedacht. Dort gab es aber in unserer Urlaubszeit keine🤣. Da dieses Spray auch ein Hautpflegeöl ist habe ich es zur Hautpflege benutzt. Sehr toll. Zieht gut ein, pflegt die Haut sehr gut.

Anti mosquitos natural piel suave y no es aceitoso....lo recomiendo

Olio molto leggero che secondo me ha una bassa percentuale di olio e piu alcool....ma tiene lontano le zanzare....idrata leggeremente se usato da solo.ma con l'acqua idrata di piu...profumo gradevole...usato anche sui capelli...assolutamente non unto

Arrived in US from UK supplier in reasonable time, within promised framework. And, it keeps the bugs away. And it smells nice. And it dries quickly on the skin. And it washes off easily. Exactly what I wanted. A bit surprised it's produced in Poland- the magic of international economies of scale, I suppose (tho, I do wish this particular line could be marketed stateside by Avon. Good job Globalbeauty is paying attention!).

Ordered as protection against midgets. Although midgets shown no immediate fear, it would have been much worse without.
