I didn't want to have to use an outlet
I return this item because I didn't realize it needed to be plugged into an outlet. I needed to extend the amount of USB ports I have on my computer but didn't want the aggravation and dealing with any more wires. Other than for that reason it worked well.

Great looks, but substandard performance.
This hub looks fantastic. It fit on my desk well and gave easy access to an SD card reader since I had put a storage expansion card into my MacBook Pro's SD slot.However, that's the best thing I can say about this hub. From day one, the external drives attached to it would randomly disconnect as if there isn't enough power in the hub to keep them running. And, then, just outside of my return window, the card reader on top stopped working. Meh.

Doen't work as decribed and no support.
I purchased this hub with the intent of cleaning up desk clutter, one place to charge my phones and use my thumb drives. It does charge the phones and will read some of my smaller drives and SD cards intermittently. The products instructions were unreadable but is not listed on the Mfg's. website for support, I assume it is obsolete or discontinued because of poor design. I have not purchased any other iDsonix product in the past so I have no opinion on other products by this Mfg. which may work fine. But I would not recommend this product. I have not sent it back because my time is worth more than the $32.00 + shipping I paid for it. To waste more time getting a return authorization, repacking, trip to UPS or Fed X just isn't worth it to me.

It's ok.
I'm giving it a four star because the USB part that mates with the lap top does not fit real snug so any movement and it disconnects and reconnects and the beeping from my pc can become annoying. Other than that everything work well.

Great, nice amperage overhead to run 4 powered display adapters have ports left to charge my phone, and it can be attached to the computer for a hub or left standalone for devices like my DMX converter that would also try to attach and I need it separate to use its ArtNet settings. Plus it looks just like my Mac Pro Desktop! Mini-me status
