GOOTOP Bug Zapper Replacement Bulb for JY-02 Bug Zapper Outdoor, 4-pin, 25W Single U-Shaped Bulb

This replacement is head and shoulders above the original.

I don’t know how long the original light that arrived with the bug zapper? But I’ve fot a spare for when it does go out.

Worked non stop all night

This is the Genuine GooTop replacement bulb for the JY-02 bug zapper unit which I have.It is an absolute PITA to install!I am was a commercial electrician and that bulb should not need the amount of force necessary that I had to use to get it's four pins to fully insert into the bulb base! That means that the zapper bulb receptacle's metal pin receivers are not, let me say, of high manufacturing quality. I knew at first that the bulb, while looking properly seated, was not, by the fact that I could not reinstall the retainer grate at the bottom.What you need to know is that to properly install these bulbs you will need to carefully line up the pins withe the socket and gently insert. Then grab the top of the bulb and gently shift it left-right, back-and forth, while exerting a significant amount of pressure to get the bulb to sink fully into the socket to get it to seat....and when it does, you will know it as it will make a solid dunk sound and you will be able to install the retaining grate without stripping that #4 monster of a screw in that incredibly soft plastic!

As soon as I plugged it in, it started to “zap” the flying insects. It would be better if it has a “on” “off” switch.

It lasted only for 3 months.
