bloody amazing
I finally read this book after putting it off for so long since my tbr is so big but I said frick it and finally gave in and it exceeded my expectations. Angelo Visconti the man you are 🥵🥵 I absolutely loved his and Rory’s chemistry from the very beginning and I liked that it was slow burn with an actual plot not just smut. I loved when Alberto got what he deserved and well my sin is to not have read this book before 🤌🏻🤌🏻

A bit too long
This has excellent build up , tension and a decent plot , but i really wanted it to hurry up in the end. Some scenes were not needed at all and even felt rushed , just to tie ends. An enjoyable read still.

This book was something else
Dark, delicious and unputdownable the story of Angelo and Rory was one of its kind. They meet at a cliff where there are only two choices life offers: fall or fly. That is where everything begins. She is his uncle's finance, their love is forbidden in all terms but the simmering attraction between them is out of control. He was her saviour who helped her out of the web of darkness she was stepping in. I loved Angelo for his protectiveness and willingness to raise a war for her while I love Rory for caring for him like no other and choosing him. Read the book in one go and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Rory and Vicious — these two took romance to an another level for me.
The longing that came with their close proximity hit me in the gut and kept me coming back for more. I was hooked till the end as I kept getting worried (yes, I know they are fictional, phew!) whether they’ll be together in the end! And what an end it was!

Worth reading
I really enjoyed this book. But this is not as dark as I like to read. The slow burn is way too slow. But I like the plot and storyline. ✨🤌

Great story
A very good book. Very well written. Very uniquely put forth. Never would have thought there would be someone to write about sins like this. Thoroughly enjoyed the book. Will definitely recommend it. :)

Really enjoyed this mafia romance!
This was the first book I've read by this author, and I am so mad I left this in my TBR for so long. It had me completely hooked with the plot, and writing was phenomenal. I enjoyed the twists, and the slow burn was delicious 🥵 Their chemistry was instant and intense!Angelo was the antihero we all love! He was dark and dangerous, vicious! But we all love a bad guy, especially when they're as hot as him. Loved the connection between him and his brothers and the devotion to his mama.Rory was a good girl who is attracted to bad things 😉 She's sweet but is snarky when she needs to be. She has a backbone but the situation she was in forced her to constantly push down her urge for violence. She had down some petty bad things but her guilt drives her to the need to confess and atone. I love her bird curse words 😆I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a gripping mafia romance with a sexy dangerous MMC.

it's a yes for me
i really loved the book. The characters are amazing and you want to read the story of all of them when she describes them. Rory is wonderful and Angelo couldn't be more perfect. but I missed more interaction between the main couple.more romance between them, more pages that make you addicted to the couple, more than you already are. I think it could be a longer book, with more scenes of Angelo and Rory together, developing the plotwist theme while the couple is together.I wanted more time with the main couple.ps: I'm CRAZY to read the Tor story! hope she plans a book for him in the future

Lots of Tension!
This was an interesting dark romance that had a surprisingly sweet ending! It’s part of a connected series about three brothers in a mafia family, but each book follows a different brother and his love story, starting with the oldest. That said, it’s a dark romance and has a warning from the author at the beginning of the book that I highly recommend is taken seriously for those that need it!Twenty-one year old Aurora is desperate to save the nature preserve she grew up on and is willing to do anything to save it, including agreeing to marry the Don of Devil’s Cove— the very man responsible for the plan to bulldoze her home and displace her sick father. Out of options, she agrees to become his fiancée; forced to follow his instructions while living in his house, and trying her best to ignore the comments from his adult children who see her as nothing more than another gold-digger in a long line of women after their father’s wealth.Rory lothes acting as a dutiful wife-to-be and uses petty revenge as an outlet for her frustration, then calls her favourite anonymous phone line, Sinners Anonymous, to purge her sins and rid herself of her guilt. When her fiancé’s nephew— brutal CEO and infamous hothead, Angelo— returns to town after almost a decade away, he brings a sense of unease to the entire family. After Rory discovers he owns Sinners Anonymous, the anonymous call line she depends on, she knows this handsome, cunning man is even more dangerous than she thought, especially when she seems as drawn to him as he is to her.Though they keep some boundaries between them, Rory and Angelo both know they’re risking everything in their stolen moments, but unless those moments mean the safety of her father and the preserve where he lives, Rory knows her only real option is to stick to the deal she made to marry Angelo’s horrible uncle. With discoveries being made and betrayals coming to light, Rory and Angelo have a decision to make: do they further explore their connection even if it leads to a war in their small town, or do they turn away from each other, forcing Rory to marry a man who they both know will never keep his word? The story was very intricate with all the scheming and suspense going on! It revealed just enough to keep things interesting without unloading everything all at once. It set up the individual characters, their families, and their businesses very nicely to give readers a broad view of the workings of the world this book takes place in. Every character felt rich with backstory even if they only had a small moment or two on the page, which is hard to do!Since it’s a standalone in a series of standalones, this book wrapped up the story of Rory and Angelo well yet left some things open-ended for the next book in the series. Rory and Angelo’s romance was spicy and full of tension, and sweet and soft at the same time. Because of the dual POVs, it was super fun to read and wait for the moment for them to finally accept their feelings, and when they did, it was satisfying to read. All in all, I enjoyed it and it was a good introduction to the world this series of standalones will take place in.

Isn't that cheesy
Not the story I was expecting. Somme sketcher definitely managed to keep us in suspense long enough. It's almost like an adult version of a YA fantasy where it takes them forever to kiss, except this book has much more than just kissing. It is surprisingly refreshing as most of these types of books tend to be a lot more fast paced with almost no details throughout.Secretive mafia, gold digger with a heart of gold who's after something other than gold and unlikely love story. Who wouldn't be sucked in?
