The Long Game

4.5 stars!
I LOVED this book it was one of my most anticipated reads. I loved Adalyn & Cameron. Adalyn was smart, strong capable but jilted and while I did not really like her attitude in the beginning getting to know what really made her be like that softened me up. Cameron was totally swoon worthy! The way he was so caring, protective and soft towards Adalyn and the kids was adorable! This was a slow burn but nowhere I felt like I was bored because all the side characters made this book so much more entertaining especially Maria & Josie! The last half of the book made me feel so many butterflies! I was in a bad mood before reading this book but after; I was delighted because it definitely uplifted my spirit! Overall this was a typical slow burn romance but I know I'll read this book sometime again when I need a dose of joy!

Niceee!
The book started slow, and it kept the slow pace, but the thing is, I actually liked it more like I loved it. I just did not want it to end.It was calming to read the book. I really liked the simplicity of the book and how the characters go from hating to caring and falling in love.I definitely say read it if you are looking for some banter and heartwarming relationships.

Thank gods it arrived intact
The review is totally based on the condition of the book that it came in. I've got it from The CLASSIC BOOKSTORE seller and it arrived mostly perfectly. There were a few scratches and an almost invisible fold which is actually totally fine considering my biggest concern was recieving the actual copy not a pirated one. Satisfied with the product.

Small town swoony romance!
✔️grumpy x grumpy✔️sloww burn✔️hate to love✔️small town ✨✔️dual pov✔️cute side charactersWhen a PR disaster lands Adalyn Reyes in a small town, she’s tasked to help a struggling soccer team to redeem herself. What she doesn’t expect is Cameron Caldani, the former soccer legend to be there, as the coach. And things can’t get worse than her accidentally hitting him by her car in their first meeting, right? Wrong! Because, Coach Cam might just be her new neighbour too. This was such a cute, funny and heartfelt small town romance. I adored all the side characters so much. Josie, Matthew, Maria and Brandy deserve special appreciation! Oh, and how can I forget the pop culture references? And everytime Elena mentioned Sebastian Stan in the book, I smiled a little too wide. I gotta say though, the pace was a little too slow for me at times. Also, the nickname darling and love just didn’t suit the overall vibe of the book. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love these nicknames but here they didn’t fit well. Overall, it was all good! The American Roommate Experiment is still my favourite Elena book and TSLD still comes a close second! 🥹

Entertaining, heartfelt, and all the feels
4.75 stars (close to a five)I knew that people have been raving about this one, but I didn’t realize just how amazing this truly was. The beginning was so fun and entertaining as Cameron and Adalyn had these moments of pure bantering perfection. I loved seeing the head butting. The tension and chemistry between these two were just shown in spades. There were some really epic scenes that gave me the tingles, showing how hot their chemistry really was. Then there was a shift that was just as good if not better than the first half. There was just so much build up and development, and it was wonderful. Then the intimacy and affection was there, which I loved. Cameron would start to take care of Adalyn with both big and little gestures. He just worshiped the ground she walked on. It was so good and precious. It just gave me all the feels. I loved the romance so much. There was a bonus with both the girls and the animals that was just really funny, yet really so stinking cute and adorable. It just warmed my heart whenever there were interactions. My only wish was there wasn’t a third act breakup. I knew it was coming, but I really didn’t want it. It was a little bit unnecessary even though I did understand why it was there, but that was really my only criticism because everything else was terrific.

❤️ Cameron
Even though this is a little slow at first, it picks up and I loved the story. I can’t wait to see if she’s going to write about Matthew and Josie! I love Elena Armand’s writing

cute!
A very slow-paced slowburn. The setting and characters are all fantastic. Cam and Adalyn have a wonderful relationship when it finally starts clicking and I love that he falls first. A great read.

it was okay
I did not enjoy this as much as The Spanish Love Deception or the American Roommate Experiment, but I’d be hard-pressed to explain why! It was fine. I had a good time. No regrets at all and I’ll read the next book.

Another one!
Loved this book just as much as I love the Spanish love deception! The FMC is stubborn but not to an annoying fault. She works hard and wants to succeed and be seen. LOVED the MMC and how he was relentless in his support of her and never wavered in his love for her. Also the spice 🔥🔥🔥🔥
