It was fitted without having to do any fettling. The bolt seems to be steel and not chinesium casting. The hinge pin does not fall out. The reason the original one broke was that the hinge pin was rusted solid. In the future you should lubricate it with WD40 or some such oil. At the moment I will give it a 5 star rating but this might change.

You will still have to take the handle out so it is not less of a job changing just the hinge but I wanted to keep the original handle. Plenty of you tube videos showing how

I recently got the Hoypeyfiy Door Handle Hinge Repair Kit for my daughter’s Fiat 500 (2012-2015), and I have to admit, I was a little confused when I first read the description. It says “Driver and Passenger Side Handle Hinge Replacement,” so I thought I was getting two separate hinges, one for each side. However, it turns out that this kit actually does both sides, it’s just one kit with the parts needed to replace both the driver and passenger side door hinges. Once I realized that, it made perfect sense, and I was relieved that I didn't need to buy two separate kits. The reason I needed this repair kit in the first place is because my daughter’s car has an unfortunate tendency to go through these door hinges like they’re candy! Honestly, the amount of wear and tear it goes through is unreal. She’s had multiple issues with the door handles and hinges over the years, so I’m always on the lookout for reliable replacement parts. This kit seemed like the perfect solution, and it was a great price for the job it does. Replacing the hinges wasn’t too difficult either, and the parts fit perfectly. It’s a great replacement for the original parts, replacing part numbers 51939041 and 51964555, and I’m happy with how sturdy everything feels now. Hopefully, this new hinge will hold up better, but with how rough my daughter can be on her car, we’ll see how long it lasts! Either way, it’s nice to know I’ve got a reliable, cost-effective fix when we need it.

Make sure you have plastic clips for rods as if one snaps you will need to order

Bought this door handle as a replacement for a Fiat 500. When I finally managed to put it on the door, I discovered that the latch was missing from it. Also, found that it was slightly smaller than the original handle which it was replacing. Best of all, the mechanism was catching on the inside, so, every time you’d pull the handle it would jam. All in all not a good product. I’m not even going to think about giving it a star rating, as I think a 1 star rating is too generous
