Koh-I-Noor Artist's Soft Pastel Pencils (Set of 12)

I had never used these soft pastel pencils before - I am hooked ! What a wonderful surprise to see these gorgeous colors, packaged in a workable tin. I love brilliant color in my work and these pastel pencils exceed my expectations. They are easy to use and produce an effective color against soft pastels, acrylic and charcoal. I strongly recommend this set for their beauty and effectiveness - You won't be dissapointed !!!

Good complementary to add details on soft oil past

Love these pencils. I paint and draw a lot with pastels. Wish I would have started with Koh-i-noor Gioconda. They are just the right consistency and resist breaking while sharpening like a lot of pastel pencils.

Product got right on time and the material is excellent. I'm very satisfied and glad. People who likes arts will like this soft pastel.

Nice layout on paper. Extremely delicate. Breaks as soon as it touches the paper. Wears down superfast. Sharpening is almost impossible as the pastel is so soft it breaks in the sharpener. Cost to much money for all these issues. I won’t buy this again. See the photo of pencil in the middle to see what happened after I used it one time.

I have not yet started a larger project with soft pastels, just tried them on some scrap and they blend beautifully. A little more expensive than what I can buy locally, but these are artist quality and well worth it.

I am happy with this selection and they seem to be of good quality. I am a beginner with pastels and I am really only practicing at the moment. Along with using regular pastels, the pencils do help me with sketching, layout and to give some definition. The pencil colours do blend very well.

Compre estos lápices sin saber mucho de la marca ni de los propios lápices para experimentar un poco en cuanto a medios artísticos, y la verdad es que son muy buenos. Los colores que vienen son más que suficientes para algo básico, pigmentan muy bien y aunque manchan un poco (ya que es normal porque son pasteles) son bastante cómodos de usar. La "mina" no se rompe, y la verdad es que el empaquetado está muy bien y cómodo. Aún me queda mucho por aprender con este medio pero considero que para aprender y empezar es una buena compra.
