Flat End Steel Grab Rail

A real bargain
Being of advancing years I have become increasingly unsteady on my pins and having something to grab hold of gives a real sense of added security.I have had these grab rails for a few weeks and put some up both inside our house and on outside walls. Only time will tell regarding wear and tear, but to date they are just what I needed. No screws are provided which is a pity as there are still many of us who do not live in a town. They are very easy to put up and as to price, they are a real bargain. I live outside the UK and even the postage costs from this seller are extremely advantageous.

Perfect for my elderly mother.....
I bought 4 of these to put on external doors to help my mother get up a step into the door.I think it took less than 5 minutes to install. I recommend using 6x 40mm zinc plated screws and in brick using 8x40mm plugs which in my case would accept a maximum 6mm screw so providing a tight fit.I would recommend attaching to brick not a upvc, aluminimum or wood door frame.....

GOOD
QUICK DELIVERY AND AS DESCRIBED. YES, AS PREVIOUS BUYER COMPLAINED, THE PAINT APPEARS THIN. HOWEVER, AS WITH PREVIOUS FITTED EXTERIOR HANDLES I HAVE OVERPAINTED THS TO MATCH THE HOUSE WALL, SO CANNOT SEE ANY PROBLEM UPCOMING. AT THIS PRICE ONE CANNOT EXPECT HEAVY-DUTY FINISH. OTHERWISE A STURDY, SECURE FITTING.

look good
wanted something that wasn't too brutal looking to steady my disabled son to hold as he came in/ out the back door as he had a tendency to hold sides of door and always put his hand where hinges are and i was always terrified that a sudden gust of wind would blow the door and close it on his fingers. these are perfect and I'm very pleased. my husband had no problems fitting them .

easy to mount and modify
Cheap and cheerful grab rails, easy to mount and modify. We used lots... over 50 of these (different lengths) all over the house: on walls, in corners, mounted on entrance doors and cupboard doors etc etc. They are also suitable for bathrooms: just use stainless steel screws and replace them if/when they go rusty (takes about a year in a wet place). The flattened tube ends and thin steel tube construction means that extra holes can be easily drilled and the grabrail ends can be easily bent to fit non-flat walls or awkward corners. (Fifty-plus handrails plus a box of screws is a lot cheaper than a hip replacement and 2 months of hospital visits !)

WILL FIT WHERE SPACE IS LIMITED.
I like this particular style of grabhandle. I wanted some for my wooden greenhouse, and the narrow, rectangular fixing points fit nicely onto the the 2" uprights; others I bought with round fixing points did not. They are a bit more expensive than some, but buying cheaper is pointless if they are useless. They are quite sturdy enoiugh.

Recommend
Sturdier than expected giving good support. Quite an orange/lighter type of brown it's a pity it couldn't have been a little darker......But...... . better than the chrome, black and white alternatives . Rapid Delivery . Will buy again .

and the actual length is ...
As good as the reviews say. Useful to fit on a narrow bar - the flattened ends are 40mm wide - but I want to point out the my 450mm rails are actually 455mm long, which might matter to someone.
