Finally found a sun hat that fits comfortably and looks good.

i was looking for a lightweight foldable straw hat, and this looked promising.The size I chose should have fitted a 61cm head, but the hat has a size tag 59cm. Why not sell them by cm size instead of s/m/l/xl?So the hat was too small, and not at all lightweight - it's much heavier than my natural straw hat. It's also quite stiff - there's no advice on how to fold it, and it doesn't look as if it would, without permanent damage.

A little on the small size for a truly comfortable fit. Did it's job very well in keeping the sun off my head and face during 10 days of exceptionally hot weather whilst on holiday. Looks ok too.

The product is excellent.Don't use Amazon's hat size guide, it is two sizes out. Order two sizes larger than you require for a correct fit.I had to return two before contacting the supplier who informed me the guide was not correct.All good in the end, eventually.

I have had several Hawkins cotton fedoras and never been disappointed . This time I needed a folding version for packing in a suitcase and it is first rate. I thoroughly recommend it.

is it true to size - large was slightly smaller than expected but it will probably stretch a bit
