I bought this small biometric gun safe because I wanted something compact but reliable for keeping a handgun secure at home and on the go. The fingerprint access works quickly—much faster than fumbling with keys or codes—and it’s been accurate every time I’ve tested it. For a bedside or nightstand setup, that quick access makes a big difference in peace of mind.The build feels sturdy, and the interior has just enough room for a handgun and an extra magazine without being bulky. I’ve also taken it in the car when traveling, and the size makes it easy to tuck away but still secure. The portability is a plus since it’s light enough to move but still feels solid enough to deter tampering.For anyone looking for a compact and dependable safe that balances security with fast access, this one hits the mark. I read a lot of reviews. They complain of being difficult to setup and such. I saw this was delivered and I tossed it into my car. I was early to an appt and while waiting I set it up with 2 fingerprints in less than 2 minutes. Excellent directions. Quite sturdy and the fingerprint pad is quite good. Solidly built, and the quick start literature is just fine. The protective foam goes top bottom and sides which is important because you could have some slide inside and you don’t want things clanging around on unprotected sides. The cable is plenty strong and it fits neatly under a seat. Just to test it out I can fit my G-19 and G-26 in at the same time. It’s tight but, one compact or two sub compacts are going to fit perfectly. Here’s the stuff I didn’t like. 1) The “bolt” that goes on the inside is plenty strong enough but, is solid enough to scratch your property if it shifts. You’ll need to go to the hardware store and get a small plastic cap for the bolt. Seeing as it’s not a nut but a cylinder, the tightening is tough and you may need some of the blue Permatex so it doesn’t loosen up. 2) The bottom of the safe is very clean and smooth so, it will slide around under your seat and clank around when you hit the brakes or go around a curve. I’m going to put a few of those little rubber feet on the bottom so it’s more secure and doesn’t slide all over the place. That aside, this will be just fine to secure your firearms while in the car or to transport. Worth the money but, you’ll need to get a couple of things if you’re keeping it in the car.

The fingerprint reader works reliably and opens quickly, which is exactly what I wanted for quick access. The safe feels sturdy and well-built without being overly heavy, so it’s easy to move or keep by the bed. Programming the fingerprint and backup code was simple, and it gives me peace of mind knowing everything is locked up but still within reach if needed.

I have a Beretta and I appreciate the spacious compartment locking it down. I love that there are also keys that come with the numeric pad-locked safe. The keys are not those crappy quality ones where they will break on you and you will be screwed. They are cylindrical-shaped keys. There are two holes at the base of the safe, allowing you to anchor it to the floor or desk, etc. Resetting the number combination on the unit was a little tricky for me however. The instructions did not help me find the reset button. Basically you have to insert the batteries and then (before putting the dongle back into the safe) run your finger along the inner side and feel for a small button to press. I thought the button was on the dongle that you insert the batteries into, but it is not. Be very careful with how you handle that by the way. You do not want to accidentally tear out the wires. Be gentle with it. But the reset button should be along the inner wall of the safe that is directly underneath the number pad. Though the angle was really bad, I needed a flashlight to help shine more light so I could see how big/small this button was. Once you find it, follow the instructions normally. In order to use the electronic combination, you need to first "wake it up." If my combo was 2-4-1-3 (key placement- actual keys are not numbered or marked) then you would first have to press one of the buttons (any button) to activate it- then punch in your code.This safe box is small and strong, suitable for valuables. The password knob feels good, easy to use and simple to set up. The attached steel cable is very strong and can be easily fixed to a corner of the house to increase safety. The workmanship is also good. The metal texture of the shell makes me feel very strong. There are sponges inside, which can avoid damage caused by bumps inside. Overall, I feel safe.The directions for setting up your pin for the keypad is easy to follow. And it provides easy to follow information on how to disable the beep sound when you touch the keys to enter your pin. Useful in an emergency situation when you want to be quiet. This is very sturdy and has plenty of room for 2 small handguns and magazines. M&P Shield and Glock 23This pistol safe is perfect for bedside use. It’s quick to open with my fingerprint, which is crucial in emergency situations. The design is sleek and modern, blending well with my bedroom decor. I feel much more secure with this safe at my nightstand.
