I love the size and shape of this sketch pad! The paper is a great thickness and all of the pencils, pens and markers come out amazing. There is a perforated edge, if you want to rip a page out. Easy to travel with.

This sketchbook is awesome! I'm very picky about journals, but I can't find a flaw with this book! The cover is sturdy and nice and plain, with no ugly branding on it. The closure band is a really nice touch. The paper quailty is great for pencils and pens. For watercolor, you should buy a watercolor journal instead. I like that the paper is cream, which looks more natural than bright white. I love that the book opens flat, and that the pages are perforated. That allows you to easily discard a badly messed up page without having to take the time to 'fix' it, and you can also easily remove your very best work to a frame or your portfolio. Some reviewers say there's a problem with the spine of book, but the spine on mine seems perfectly fine, although I've only had the book for a very short time. I'm baffled by the reviews that say the perforated pages detach from the book just from flipping the pages! This does NOT happen with mine, I would have to purposely tear a page out, no problem with them falling out on their own. I like this sketchbook so much I'm thinking of ordering another.

I’m a super beginner artist and just bought this for my art class but it seems pretty good right out of the packaging!! the cover has some little dents from the elastic closure but they aren’t super visible so i think it’s okay. this sketchbook isn’t exactly 8x8, it’s a little bit over 8” horizontally and a little under vertically but it’s not super noticeable the paper feels like pretty good quality and it felt great to sketch on with a regular pencil. it’s a really nice off white kind of and it looks really nice. overall i think this was worth the price!

Nice book - pretty well made, especially for the price. I like the paper, I have not found bleed through with most markers and watercolor paint. I use a good bit of washi tape in my designs and found the tape will adhere to the paper.

Great size , and the paper is fantastic. My granddaughter loves the books and they were a great price will be purchasing more for her.

I’ve been using this sketchbook for a while and it’s okay-ish. The cover itself is really nice and it feels sturdy. The band to keep is closed has stayed well in tact without fraying or becoming loose. But the paper itself irritates me. I think it’s fine for pens that glide well, however I really struggle to get into the zone while sketching in this because my pencil snags the paper at minimum, 3-5 times per sketch. The paper itself is fibrous and soft. It’s smooth but not reliably so and it doesn’t seem to hold up well to mechanical pencils or sharpened pencils when sketchy quickly or freely. It also makes drawing with more pressure tricker. With acyrlic markers, the paper gets soggy and can tear. I haven’t even dared to try with watercolors though it seems to hold ink well without it seeping into the fibers too much. I also struggle with the serrated page separation lines coming apart when unwanted. I think if you’re a pen or India ink pigment artist only this will work for you, but otherwise I don’t see it being very versatile for mixed media.

Great quality sketch book! It arrived looking perfect, no trouble during shipping. My teenager loves sketching and this is perfect for his drawings.
