All you need to get started and more
Watched a review of ukuleles available from Amazon and this was one that had been owned by the reviewer (ukulele teacher) for years and she said it was one of the most frequently used in her extensive collection as she liked it so much. This was enough to convince me that this was the one for me to try and I’m so glad I did.It came with case, tuner, strap spare strings and best of all it sounds great.I decided to give the ukulele a try having enjoyed a local ukulele band performance at a fete - we know one of the members quite well and they said they’d picked it up reasonably quickly.Easy to tune with the clip on tuner (I used an app to generate starting note and went from there). Nylon strings so not too uncomfortable on finger tips for a beginner but initially stretch and need frequent retuning.Lots of excellent resources online to learn along with so just find the teacher that appeals to you.If you want a book 21 songs in six days is good and has some chord charts in the back for reference - it will get you playing songs quickly. All in all a lovely looking instrument and well finished and sounds great.Excellent value and would consider this make if I fancy trying another size.

How do they do it for the price
I have several top quality instruments from the likes of Martin and Gold Tone. I also have a top quality Hamano ukulele. I bought this instrument to see if I could recommend it as a good starter instrument for a Ukulele Group that I am starting. To say I am impressed is an understatement. This really is a beautifully crafted instrument. It is made from Okoume, a relatively cheap hard wood, but this means that Kmise can make it from solid wood, rather than laminate which is the norm at this price. It also has a real bone nut and a compensated bone saddle, rather than the poorly made plastic jobs common in this price range. It is a very pretty instrument with real wood rope style bindings and unusual wood inlays on the fret board. The only thing that lets it down, appearance wise, is the thin open pore finish. I think older instruments in this range had a gloss finish which, to my eyes, really enhanced the appearance of the rather beautiful wood in the instrument. Now to the playing - I'm not sure whether I got lucky, but the setup on mine was pretty good out of the box. It comes ready to play with Aquila Nylgut strings which again is a real plus point (throw away the cheap nylon strings which you are given as spares with the instrument - they won't do it any favours). It projects well and has plenty of sustain, which will only improve as the solid top opens up. My one had no buzzing or rough edged frets and when I checked the intonation (using the supplied tuner - another plus point) it was remarkably good up the neck. I appreciate that I may have got lucky and that other samples of this instrument might be a little rougher round the edges, but really the basics are so good that 30 mins work on rough frets etc. would still make this a really worthwhile buy.To round things up - I will be recommending this little beauty to my group as a really good starter instrument. To get a uke of this quality, with a tuner, a strap and a nice little gig bag for this price is an absolute steal!

Value for money, quality at low cost.
The media could not be loaded. I have started to learn guitar, & ukulele. My granddaughter has asked for an instrument to learn, so rather than a guitar i opted for the ukulele, easier to carry back & forth school, easier to play, and store. Rather than buy a low cost model with an option to upgrade if she stuck to learning, i selected a mid range price, wood version that would produce a mellow sound, hopefully last years and looked after would age nicely. Okoume is a durable, lightweight, and attractive wood, which makes it appropriate for an ukulele, i would recommend a light coat of linseed oil to be rubbed in just to enhance the grain and offer a light protection for the wood. The model I bought was a Kmise model M12377.Delivery very prompt, ordered late Thursday night & it arrived Sat morning, package sturdy no damage which i now begin to expect from Amazon. The box contains strap, tuner, plectrums, 3 plastic multi colour and a felt version, also a plectrum holder with self adhesive backing to place on the ukulele, ( not keen on these however, will appeal to some), a cleaning cloth, a rhythm shaker and a spare set of strings.Good quality carry bag hard wearing material, not sure how well it will protect the instrument may be worth considering a hard case in the future? The ukulele was Lighter than expected, but no disappointment in finish. Great binding to set the ukulele off, smooth neck no sharp edges where the frets have been cut. Under £43 paid, on offer at time of purchase in a natural wood, the head stock was more like a traditional guitar, the machine heads good quality and once tuned in, only needed a slight adjustment after 2 hours playing, to stretch the strings. The Strings fitted were Aquila so they produced a nice sound. I wanted a different look from the other Tenor i bought, this was a little more money, but nut & saddle are bone producing a clear tone. Nice tones from the ukulele im sure this can take my granddaughter music level from beginning to semi pro, if looked after, time will tell. But well worth spending a little more than basic just to make it easier to learn & play. You can spend more however, difficult to justify hundreds, only if the very subtle tones that a semi professional would detect. I had tried to upload 2 videos one with a recording of the sound which I was impressed, unfortunately 2 videos not allowed, but for me ... Well recommended.

Good Value for the Money.
This is ideal for starting to learn to play. Good Sound, Crisp action. Looks good too. The Add on's are good. Tuner works well and the capo fits. Additional strings are a good idea. The Strap however is more than Micky Mouse. But that's just a small thing. I have a decent strap that I wasn't using. so no Problem.

Great Budget and Starter Baritone!
First, it should be tuned DGBE, which it is when you get it, but is falsely labeled GCEA in the nomenclature on this page. The strings that came on it were so oxidized that they were unusable. But, I didn’t plan on using the stock strings anyway. It plays nicely and tunes nicely. I wish it had a tie-on bridge, but that’s only a minor point. For the budget, the craftsmanship is superb. The wood is lovely, and despite being laminate, the sound quality is decent. I’m really enjoying it.For those that don’t know, baritone Ukuleles are tuned like the highest 4 strings of a guitar. You can adapt guitar tabs and chords to play on this instrument, which is what I do.

This is a solid ukulele for a good price
I'm more than happy with this purchase. Some out of the box good points. Book matching is really nice on both front and back. The pictures do not do the flame justice, it's a nice narrow, subtle striping. Looking from the edge of the soundhole it seems reasonably thick, but it's not solid and I wouldn't expect that at this price. Edge binding is well done, looks sharp and even kind of matches the strap. Arch back gives it a nice feel to hold although the wood selected for the back did have quite a few small imperfections, like tool dents or something like that. The top and sides were pretty much flawless though. Fret work is decent but needed a bit of polishing on the edges. Which again I would expect but no major issues. Some tiny spots around the base of the neck/fretboard/frets had excess glue which needed to be removed and they used a good glue because it wasn't that easy. Nut is well installed although a little bit wide. I really like the fret inlays and they are well done. The whale/star combo is rad and it has edge dots too. Fretboard was darker than pictured but I prefer it. The bridge also matches the fretboard, which is nice. For some reason the inside edges of the slots of the headstock don't have finish applied. Tuners are... usable but all needed minor adjustment. Kmise inlay on the headstock is also quite well done. Only other minor issue I have with the ukulele itself is the location of the neck strap button is odd and makes it difficult to access the highest frets. The strap doesn't help this. I cut the end of the strap as much as I could. I may end up moving it to the back of the base of the neck where it feels like it should be. Finally, the strings that came with it were far from "premium" in my opinion. I had to replace them almost right away with a set of Aquila New Nylgut. It sounds and plays WAY better now. Overall you can't go wrong at this price if you're looking to add a baritone to your collection.

Nice instrument, sounds pretty good with low G
I fitted a low G (not supplied) and am regularly playing this instrument with pleasure. Good sound, good intonation, also higher up on the fretboard. Very good value for money.
