Great magnets, pleasantly suprised at the strength
The media could not be loaded. After being let down from just about every magnet I've purchased on amazon, I had given up but saw these and figured I'd try Amazon one more time before going to the magnet website I typically use (which sadly is not cheap and why I was hoping to find something here) and these have been 100% great, have had more than enough strength for every application I've used them for ( I use magnets for just about anything you can imagine, they are useful in all kinds of crazy ways you wouldn't even think of... Or maybe I just have a problem.haha either way, these have been great). I highly recommend. I will say THESE ARE VERY STRONG, CAN BE HARD TO SLIDE APART of YOU DONT HAVE FAIRLY STRONG HANDS. YOU MIGHT NEED A MAGNET SEPERATOR (I can only imagine they're for sale on here or I know there are all kinds of videos/plans online that have instructions to build one, they are very simple to build, with very low cost) I COULD SEE HOW A PERSON COULD EASILY PINCH THEIR FINGERS OR ANYTHING IN BETWEEN THESE WHEN THEY SNAP TOGETHER. I GAVE A FRIEND OF MINE 2 OF THEM AND THE MORON LET HIS DAUGHTER PLAY WITH THEM. NEEDLESS TO SAY HE HAD A VERY UPSET DAUGHTER WITH A LITTLE BLOOD BLISTER ON HER FINGER, SO... I CANNOT BELIEVE I ACTUALLY NEED TO SAY THIS BUT....THESE ARE DEFINITELY NOT A TOY FOR YOUR CHILD AND NOT AT ALL SIMILAR TO THE LITTLE MAGNET BALLS THEY MAKE FOR KIDS

Very strong - no frills
For the strength and price, these magnets are five star. I don't know for sure about the 150lb strength claim, but they are certainly powerful enough for my current project, and they must be handled with care.Unlike what others have reported here, the provided screws look like they will be flush with the cup side of the center hole, which is on the bare side of the magnet. Maybe they corrected the design? That said:- Unlike other bulk magnets I've purchased on Amazon, these are boxed without plastic spacers, so it takes a good amount of effort to pry them apart.-In the process of prying these apart, I scratched the finish on one of the magnets - It appears that these are not coated, but painted. If you need a thick coating for your application, this could be a concern. So yeah, good strong magnets, and reasonably priced, but you may want to read all of the reviews to get the best idea of what to expect. :)

Countersink needs to be a little deeper ...
I bought these with the intent of attaching a cabinet knob using a stainless-steel screw, and using them to hold vent covers on steel OHagin vents during the winter. The one problem I've run into so far is that they appear to be designed to be attached via an M4 flat-head screw -- but those typically seem to have an 8mm dia. head, and the countersink in the magnet is right at 8mm dia. Since the screw head isn't zero thickness at 8mm dia., it protrudes about 1/2 mm from the face of the magnet. So I have to grind down each screw head by about 1/2 mm. That's a PITA.They would be much easier for my use if the countersink were 9mm dia. instead of 8mm.I don't know yet how well they'll survive in the weather, but the black finish looks like it should be at least reasonably effective, and has no obvious defects in the dozen or so I've examined so far.I'm skeptical about the "150 lbs" touted in the listing. They certainly aren't that strong when applied to typical thin sheet metal (fortunately, or I'd never be able to pull them off my vents), or to any irregular surface. But I doubt *any* similar cup magnet is actually as strong as advertised, unless possibly under perfect conditions lifting a very specific item. But I certainly wouldn't count on it lifting 150 lbs under typical conditions. But I doubt any similar magnet of this size would do so either.

Strong on one side, does not work for my application
Cup Magnets. I guess I learned a lesson. The magnets themselves are just over half of the thickness and are inside a "cup" that makes up the remaining thickness. So the magnets as a whole are super strong on one side, but very weak on the other side. So they will not work in my situation where I need a magnet to stick to a metal box and hold up a second metal object on the other side. Hopefully I can find another use for them.No stars off because these seem to be well made and quite strong on the magnet side. No doubt they will work fine for their intended purpose.

Biggest problem I had was that these magnets are so powerful I could not get them apart!

Strong but not strong enough for many. 150lbs is VERY misleading here.
Strong but not strong enough for many. 150lbs is VERY misleading here. It is NOT a reference to the proper industry valuation of pull force. Can't compare to an N42 let alone an N52. Pull force here is less than 15lbs.Typical of certain mfgs to lie about specs my adding or removing zeros. In this case...15lbs not 150bsThat said...if you are looking for fridge or kitchen strength (such as holding knives, tools, even small hammers) then this would work for you. I'd generalize this as the strongest of the weak magnets. But for example...if you wanted to hold something very small (100grams) on a piece of 1/4" glass (like an aquarium holder of some sort)...it will FAIL. It cannot hold a fridge magnet through a mere 1/4"...so yeah, pretty weak.

Incredibly strong, but the pkg was missing the spacers....so I guess I jerry rig something!
They were supposed to come packed with (plastic??) spacers in between each magnet....look at the pics in the advert description. The gist is that the spacers help a person separate one magnet from another, by sliding it off of the one below (due to a slight separation between the two magnets.) Without the spacers, it would be almost impossible to slide one magnet off another, one on top of the other, flush. My package came with two layers of 5 magnets, each magnet overlapping one or two others underneath, by 1/3 of the magnet size....which still allowed me to slide them off. However, I have strong hands. Regardless, these magnets are incredibly strong, smooth sided, and can hold alot of weight. I guess I will jerry rig a spacer....perhaps with a plumbers plastic washer??? We shall see. However, Mega strong magnets!!! And they appear very well made. I give it a 4.5 stars

Not even remotely 150lb of holding force, more like 50lb
not as strong as advertised.. pictures make one think it can hold 150lb on a wall... no way... maybe to pull away (or hanging something from a ceiling). Still strong so 3stars. Maybe 50lb vertical surface holding force.
