This brought back great memories from reading this book the first time. Love Anne! Love the quiz here. Wish there were a few more pics but no bother. The author paints wonderful portraits and the Netflix series is really good too!

This book gives you glimpse of in a simpler time. I love the idea of children growing up with nature just outside their door. Its also a time when women were stepping out of "traditional" roles, starting us on a path to equality.

Charming and captivating book that appeals to both young and old. It warms the heart, brings a smile to your face, and leaves an indelible mark on your soul.Cute illustrations and interesting quiz in the end of the book.

Let's face it, given that this book was first written over a century ago, it's hard to imagine there are people out there that haven't read it - yet there are. I wish I would've read this magical tale as a young child. Reading it as an adult clearly resonates a bit different than if read as a child, but either way - it's a classic that must be read by everyone at some point in their life!

This is absolutely one of my favorite books ever, and one that should be re-read every few years because it is just so much fun. I enjoyed trying this new version that has pictures sprinkled throughout to really make the story come alive. The artwork was beautiful, as I laughed, cried, and enjoyed favorite characters all over again. For my fellow kindred spirits out there, I highly recommend it!

I always loved this book growing up when I was a little girl! I loved finding that over a century after its publication, L. M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables still continues to charm readers with its unparalleled simplicity, wit, and whimsy!

Written in the original text this is a beautiful read. The illustrations are beautiful. Takes me back to a time when language and expression were everything

Timeless classic that every girl should read! Thoroughly enjoyed in my youth ages and now passing on to my children.

Timeless coming of age story. There is an old world innocence about this story still and the focus is really on the importance of connection between people. Very enjoyable, the illustrations add a special quality too.

I first read Anne of Green Gables 76 years ago. It was my mother’s copy printed in the early 1900s. I have reread it many times and always enjoyed it. Having given my mother‘a copy to my niece I am very happy to have been able to buy this copy from Amazon.

The story is timeless and enjoyable for everyone. The writing flows easily and makes it a pleasure to read.I have loved watching the Anne of Green Gables series and movie on TV, but the book is always better. It gives more insights into what the characters are thinking and feeling. I relate to the character of extraverted Anne. She is my favorite one.I liked the illustrations and the quiz of this version.

At the heart of this story is love, told in a beautiful, fresh setting. This is a timeless novel of which I will always enjoy reading.
