Nice but Too Big for my Dog
I like the look of this bowl and stand but didn't realize it was so big when I ordered it. It holds 5 cups. I have a medium size dog and she was afraid of it and wouldn't drink from it. I have since bought a different elevated bowl which holds 3 cups and it is the perfect size and height for her. She likes it and used it immediately. This is a nice bowl and stand and I will give It to a friend who has a large dog.

Love it!
Very easy to set up - simply clean the bowl, fill it with fresh water, and set it in the black iron stand. It looks gorgeous and works perfectly for my Min Pins. It's just barely short enough for them to drink out of. It's definitely a little taller than I'd expected, but it'd still usable. For reference, my dogs stand about a foot tall at the shoulders. I'd purchased this because my oldest dog was diagnosed with Arthritis and has a Grade 1 (almost Grade 2) luxating patella. The vet recommended elevated food and water bowls to make her life a bit easier. This is excellent quality. It's sturdy and extremely well made. I have no concerns that they'll knock it over. Just in case, however, I've set it up in a corner. The bowl is stainless steel. It's going to be super easy to keep clean. The coated metal stand should stay very nice looking for years to come. There are no rough or sharp edges. The bowl has a beautiful design around the bottom inside. My ONLY complaint - and it's a VERY minor one - is that the sticker on the inside of the bowl is a PAIN to remove. I can't use Goo Gone because I obviously don't want chemicals getting into my dogs' water. It took quite a bit of effort to get rid of the sticker and the residue it left behind. Honestly? In the whole scheme of things, that's not a huge deal. I did feel it was worth mentioning though.

Great stand and bowl
I have had 3 of these for years and recently bought another for the new dog. They are nice and simple, and tall enough to be comfortable for my 3 large dogs that are about 60lbs each. They also have the biggest bowls that I've seen come with any set, and I do not have any problems with the bowls moving around in the stand. The new one is slightly different from the older ones: it has a glossy coating on the wire parts, instead of the matte finish that makes the older ones look like wrought iron, and the bowl is of slightly lower quality in that it is thinner and has a slight difference in the finish and inside design, and it is a hair smaller than the others. Overall, it is still good quality and certainly works for all of us. Just a note of caution - If your dog wears a collar with tags dangling, it is possible they might catch on the stand and scare the ever-lovin' crap out of everyone around. It's only happened to us twice in about 5 years. Just an FYI for anyone with a weak heart and/or bladder.

dog feed station
These are really incredible food stations for dogs. Just high enough and good quality stainless steel bowls. Great quality for the price.

Excellent Stand Though a Bit High; Flimsy Loud Bowls
I have two older cats and wanted to get them more accessible dining. This was my first try at a designed raised dish; previously I had just been resting the bowls on upturned dishes, but I wanted something higher.5" is probably too high. The black cat has learned to sit at hers to get her head higher, and readily polishes off her food, but would probably find it easier if it were an inch lower. The tux just jammed her throat on the edge. That is, when she was willing to get near it. The loud clang of the very lightweight bowls frightened her so much she started running away from the stand, so I've gotten her a different model with a nice silent silicone base.Speaking of the bowls, I don't use them, nor the other brand extra pair I bought. Besides the loudness and flimsy lightness of them, the way they sit down inside the frame makes the cat have to crane down to get at the food. I rest their old rubber-bottomed shallow metal dishes on top instead. The frame itself is very well made, very attractive, and very sturdy. Though my husband's kicked it a few times when the shiny metal bowl wasn't inserted as the black frame visually blends into the brown runner rug we have it on.

A fantastic find!
I absolutely LOVE this water dish! It is HUGE and holds a lot of water, which is great because I have 2 big dogs and 2 cats. It is elevated nice and high so my big dogs don't have to bend way down (and my cats just perch their front paws on the side and drink out of it). It is very attractive as well, which is a bonus . My old water dish holder was also elevated and made out of black plastic. Eventually it got pitted and discolored from having water splashed all over it all the time. That will not be an issue with this one. Very satisfied with this purchase.Update 3 years later and still loving it! It has held up beautifully for 3 years and still going. I have 2 large dogs (60+ lbs) and 2 cats and they all share it. The size is perfect and we only have to fill it twice a day for all 4 animals. Highly recommend!

Great Elevated Water Bowl for my Cats
I love this water bowl. I have stray cats which I have taken two in and they are part of the family now. Because they got used to the elevated dog water bowl, I bought them their own elevated water bowl. This is the one that I found to be just perfect for them. So much so that I bought another one. I have one inside for them and outside for them. They are still indoor/outdoor cats and have a heated condo outside on the deck and they come in every night and sometimes one will stay inside during the day as well. But these bowls are perfect for them. The elevation is just right for their height. Great product!!!! Worth the money!
