bought these for camping as we light to "crack them at night". These things light up quick and were bright even the next day. Will buy again.

Very bright, easy use, affordable and bright color

My order of two 20 piece Chem Lights came in two days after ordering in a white Amazon bag. They came on thin cardboard boxes which seemed to have been damaged and ripped during shipping. I activated a red and white(green) chem light and neither lights up. No where near military grade anything. Do not buy, this product will let you down.

The kids and I loved them!

Thrse are the biggest glow sticks that I have ever seen. They are pretty amazing, when they are not defective.Over half the sticks in our package either failed to glow or failed to fully glow. The glass was still intact and had to be snapped. But many of the sticks failed to fully activate. In a pack of 20, that does not leave many for use. Making these more suitable for play than any sort or use where reliability is expected.

It’s been eighteen hours since I bent, cracked and shook (the three) capsules inside this pink glowstick. Immediately, the stick began glowing brightly, bright enough that I could see the glow through the flesh of my fingers. I took a picture of that so you could see it, though I have to tell you that my fingers didn’t glow quite as brightly as the photo shows. My camera apparently was trying too well (in this case) to get a good exposure!That was at 11:15 p.m.. The light was bright enough to read by. By 3 a.m. (waking up for a bathroom break – I’m 67 years old!), the light seemed just as bright. By 7 a.m. in the morning, the light was a bit dimmer, but not by much. I took another picture, and while I could still see the light through my fingers it wasn’t as bright. By 3 p.m. the light was about as bright as a normal, small glow stick would be. I could still read by the light (I was viewing this in a closet!), but it was more difficult to see. The last time I checked it was 6 p.m., 18 hours of continuous glowing. By now it’s just a warm glow, magical in itself, but nowhere near as bright as at the start.That is pretty amazing! After 12 hours I still could read by the light and six hours after that I would still be able to catch someone’s attention with it if I were lost in the woods.This pack contains 20 such glow sticks, in eight different colors (I haven’t checked which ones aren’t duplicated). They’re easy to use, safe to dispose of when you’re finished with them, and a lot of fun! I recommend them to you.

It’s not often you find an item that can be used for serious and silly reasons.These aren’t your kid’s halloween glow sticks. No, these are taken up a notch.First of all, they are huge! As advertised, 14 inches long.Secondly, they are bright! Many kids tubes have just one ampule you break in them to cause them to glow. These sticks have three—one on each end, and one in the middle. Break them all, shake it up, and you have some seriously bright light.Thirdly, these last a LONG time. Advertised at 10-12 hours—I gave up at 11 1/2 hours and went to bed. It was dead when I got up in the morning. So, I’m sure it went a bit longer and then died.Good for the kids, but also good for emergency situations (vehicle breakdowns, hiking, power outages, etc). I’d highly recommend this item!
