Each strip has 2 thin exposed magnetic strips that are strong enough to hold when your item overlaps them both. It held everything I had, scissors, tweezers, glass jars with metal lids, and all kinds of stuff that was heavy and felt sturdy on the wall. I ended up using my own anchors and screws so it would match as the screw heads are visible. Also, with the 4 strips I ended up with they only sent 3 screws total (requires 8) and the anchors look more like packaging and not something I trust to hold a magnet full of heavy metal items, like the knives it's made for.Did not care for the appearance of the exposed strips and screws and prefer the flat smooth surface but didn't realize it was an issue before using this one. The first order came in an open, mangled package (inside of a perfect shipping box) with 3 missing screws and 2 missing anchors. Amazon had the company replace and the second order came in a perfectly sealed package with only 2 screws and 4 anchors. I didn't bother with the 15 minute conversion to document the condition and the company's inability to count the 4 holes on the two products and the need for 4 screws to go with the 4 weak anchors- I assume they are just ripping people off on purpose and will not order from Avoliving again.

Love them! I wanted to make more space on my counter tops so I order these magnetic knife holder strips so I could do away with my massive knife block. They come off with ease which is important for me because I'm very short and they are kind of high, I simply can not get the leverage when it comes to height. I worried about them collecting grease and dust because I did put them on my backsplash behind my stove top but I am pleasantly surprised with how they just aren't collecting cooking over spray and such.

Nice products I bought two to use them for my machete collection. Holds nice with no issues of falling, easy to take down if a zombie happened to enter the house

I noticed low ratings on other knife magnets, and the reviews said the magnets would not hold their knives, and that they were falling off, so I made sure I ordered one that said strong magnetic hold. It holds all of my knives and my meat cleaver without them falling which could be very dangerous. I love it and it looks awesome in my kitchen.

I wanted my knives off the counter, easily accessible and hidden. I mounted this inside my cupboard door. They are not on display, but by simply opening my cupboard door I can easily see exactly which knife I need. The magnet holds them very securely. I could not be happier and would definitely recommend this knife holder.

They are not strong enough to hold anything heavy. I tried to return them for a refund, but Amazon erroneously replaced them instead, for free. So when I tried to return them again, the value was zero, so I can either return them for free, or keep them and use them for lightweight stuff. Way overpriced for these cheap, cheap magnet bars.

Installed this strip under my cabinets for hidden knife storage (and to get rid of my knife block) to free up counter space. I left on the counter for a day or two and the screws got wet and rusted so not sure if high humidity would cause rusting on this strip. The only knife that is not holding well and tight is my Wuhstoff boning knife. Seems to work ok for the price, if it was not hidden I probably would've gotten a wooden magnetic strip for a nicer appearance.

I have two of these on the back wall of my stove in our camper holding various knives. The magnets are strong enough that the knives have not budged, even over some big bumps we have taken. Very happy with them.
