Fixed my leaky RV toilet
Fixed my leaky RV toilet. The ball valve in our Dometic 300 RV toilet stopped holding water. I discovered that when de-winterizing the camper the toilet had no water/antifreeze in it. I added water thinking it may have been evaporation but the water quickly emptied into my black tank. I was skeptical that this would fix the issue but it seems to be all good now. Installation was super simple, no need to take the toilet apart. Wearing gloves I was able to pull the old seal out while holding the foot valve in the open position with the water to the trailer off. Once the old was removed, simply install the new one in its place. Took less than 5 minutes to install. After installation, much to my dismay, the toilet still was not holding water but I discovered that the seal was not fully seated properly. If that is the same for you, i would inspect to make sure it is fully in place and that there are no debris between the ball and seal. Bonus that it came with 2 so if I ever have an issue again I have a backup seal that I keep in the trailer with my other critical replacement parts.

No leaks, great fit!
Took me a minute to figure it out, but I used aquaphore since I didn’t have any seal lubricant. Worked well and still haven’t had any slipping water! Would definely look up on YouTube how to replace these as it can be a tad difficult for first time RV owners replacing one.

Worked great
I’m a woman in her 60’s, if that gives any confidence you can do it… It took me a little while, watched a couple how to videos, but it finally sealed and has been great.

Waste of money and time
Both seals leaked. I have a Dometic 310 and these seals did not hold water in the bowl. I finally spent the money on a Manufacture’s seal and it held water. I could see obvious difference between the thickness between these cheaper seals and the actual manufacture’s seal.

Leak Free, Tight Fit - It just works.
If the Domestic toilet bowl isn't holding water, likely the rubber seal inside needs changing. Might get lucky by pulling it out and cleaning it, but sooner or later it's going to completely fail. These inexpensive seals fit perfect and nearly match the thickness and durability of the original. They are pretty simple to swap-out and there is content on Youtube demonstrating how to 'getter done'. I recommend having a couple of this on hand, ready for a quick change.
